I don't like running with the yaktrax as the snow isn't hard packed enough but walking in them are great. I feel so much safer as the sidewalks are always coming up to meet my head without them.
8.8 today in the rain dodging cars diverted from a highway to my quiet curbless country road by a major accident. I bet if they had SEEN the accident they wouldnt have been in such an all fire hurry.
I have been hoping to really work on the exercise part this year so I want to participate but since I am a newbie my miles may be a mixture of walking/jogging/eliptical versus running!
i did the math...the 4 miles i walk every day makes me eligible for this thread...my buddy and i have been walking every day for the last 2 weeks...now if i can just get the eating under control
I'm still behind, but I have figured out that I have to average 2.86 miles per day. That is totally doable, especially since right now I am just taking my first baby steps where running is concerned and as I improve it will become easier and easier to get those miles in.
