    Galatians 1:10
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for it I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Granny wanted Ellen to lose weight. She used to offer her bribes all the time, to encourage her. The problem was, no matter how much weight Ellen lost, her grandmother wanted her to lose more. There was just no pleasing her. Instead of helping Ellen lose weight, Granny just made her more frustrated and discouraged. It wasn't until Ellen decided she wanted to lose weight for herself that it really worked for her. She prayed for God's help, and He delivered. Doing it for Granny wasn't enough, doing it for God and herself made it all worthwhile.

Today's thought: The more I care, the less I weigh!
  • Good Morning 168.6 new low.
Will get back to personals later - still just trying to log every day.
Already have 7416 steps. Will do one walk later in the heat. Did 3 with the dogs.
    Garden work tonight.
  • Quote: Good Morning 168.6 new low.
  • Congrats Granny! on your new low you have done such an amazing job!

    So good morning to all
I broke down and did weigh myself this am the bloat from the weekend is gone so 168.2 but no where near where I want/need to be. Right now I am not going to worry about that as I am trying (not real successfully I might add) to focus on my strength training. I am working hard at it even though I took a semi off day yesterday. I am glad I skipped the weights yesterday, the ache in my muscles eased up and I actually slept almost all night! rare for me usually I wake around 2am with my hips/butt sore and aching.
Today I have not really planned my evening meal but I have two small hamburger patties that I grilled on Monday I can eat with some steamed veggies. Breakfast/lunch is usually the same a large salad with some protein and if I am really hungry I will eat a sous vede egg cup that I made. I keep a bag of frozen ones at my office I can heat up in the microwave pretty easy. They are much healthier than buying them from Starbucks....cheaper too LOL

Ok will be back later with personals
  • I'm gonna go for a walk and then Jillian later. Tonight I'm making meatloaf for dinner. I haven't had that in years. I have such a taste for it.

I wonder what my cholesterol will be like come October when I get my labs done again. I've been down to 10mgs from 20mgs for a long time and there's nothing my cardiologist can say to make me increase again. I can't tolerate it, makes me sleep all the time. 🤷
  • good morning! 2 miles leslie Sansone before I left to go visit the "vampires" at associated clinical lab behind westfrield memorial hospital. got the 10:00 bus home. had brunch at one of my restaurants. power walked and ran errands on the way home.
  • Congrats, Grannynancy!!! Love those new lows.

Good afternoon, all! Again a super busy day at work (Wed and Thurs are a zoo!)

Exercise: AM 20 minutes Windsor Pilates
    Nutrition:
Breakfast - Scoop Protein w Super Greens + Almond Milk, iced coffee with SF creamer
    Lunch - (What's that? :P)
    Dinner - Something at church...

Must remember how GOOD it feels to exercise in the AM, if only for the mental benefit! Even 20 mins a day makes a huge difference...
Now to get the nutrition under control...
  • Gran, congrats on new low!!

nov, I pray that your cholesterol will be fine when you go

    alexis Lol "something at church"

ciecie, why are you visiting vampires

Nancy, yay on bloat being gone and still on track. I had to look up sous vede egg

Diana, yay on steady weight loss. Always look foward to devotionals

ok. .back to the mystery of the morning weight . ..

last night before bed I weighed 196.8...I went to bed at 2:am woke up at 10 am to 194.6?

194 again!!! Last new low was 194.3..TOM is due tomorrow. I think it's pushing it to think I'll lose my normal 5 lbs after TOM...because I'm not sure what water weight is going to look like...

I am terribly bloated and crampy so I was suprised by the weight drop. Apparently yesterday's plan was golden for me...

I had coffee, heavy cream, xylitol again at 12:00pm. I wake up not hungry at all...

I think I'm going to have spinach stuffed roast beef rolls, some cheese crisps and one deviled egg. I buy preboiled eggs to make it easier to make..

dinner is a toss right now...probably hibachi grill
  • good afternoon again! just got back from power walking and running an errand.

    Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Randy couldn't believe how tough Bob's dad was on Bob. What was even more amazing was that Bob didn't seem to mind. Randy would have gone crazy if his own father demanded so much from him. Bob told him that his father was really a wonderful person and that he only wanted him to be the best person he could possibly be. Randy found it hard to believe, but one thing he did know: He sure wished he had as close a relationship with his own father as Bob had with his. Our heavenly Father expects a lot from us. He wants us to be everything we can be. Though He's tough on us at times, He will always stand beside us to help us when we try to improve.

Today's thought: When we aren't tough enough on ourselves, God will be as tough as we need Him to be!
  • Good morning 169.4 bounce up. AND the realization that I actually WAS lower than yesterday's new low back in June .
    Well - must maintain focus.

Jendiet - I cut grass yesterday too. Ick. Not sure where in SC you are but I am in the upstate near Greenville.
  • Good morning to all
W/I same 168.2 but saw a flash of 167 LOL
Last nights workout after 35 min of elliptical with HIIT intervals 4 different strength freeweights for legs and 4 for upper body 3 sets 10 reps each 40lb total held for legs and 16lb total for arms was a killer.but I am seeing definition in my bicep triceps area especially when I do lateral raises. but may need to up the weights soon.

Jen good job on the lawn LOL I hate mowing
theboss I can go either way on workouts it really depends for me on how I feel on any given day and if I feel stronger one day then I push more.

I will be back later got to run hugs all around
