i stayed OP today... tho exercise was lacking.. cuz i took the missy cat to the vet tonite after work to get prepared for her spay, she got all her shots and will have her spay oct. 23rd!

i was worried how she was gonna react to being put in the carrier and how she would do with other "hoomans" but she was good as gold! not a peep outta her..

she actually put herself in the carrier!!!!

the vet says she looks to be @ 1 1/2 yrs old, and he said shes a really nice kitty.. for an ex-feral she was better behaved than my tabbies!!!!

Hey girls....

well wonders of all wonders....I lost 2 lbs!!! Actually I split the difference as the scale was going up and down and never giving me the same weight twice in a row. It was either a loss of 1 lb, then loss of 3 lbs, then loss of 2.5 then loss of 2 lbs.....so 2 lbs it is!!! wooohoooo TBL is on again tonight, and I heard its another 2 hr show. Can't wait. Great job Val and Curly....keep up those OP days!!!

I'm here.... as I've said before, never far away. Truth be told with this slooowwwwwww dial up connect we get it's freakin frustrating to have to wait for all the log in, then type my post and I usually have to log in again before the post goes thru lol.... not the best excuse but it's all I have

Anyway, this morning I hopped on the scale and lo & behold i was looking at 220lbs... now, on my way into the bathroom I looked in the mirror and just KNEW I was gonna be way up, so what a plesant surprise this was. It's a full 1.5 lbs less than my 2 lbs +- battle has let me go for weeks!! (months even) ... I re-stepped on the scale 2 more times just to be sure lol... I know that tomorrow I may be back up- or not- but it made for a good day for me

well i called the animal rescue groups... they are all over loaded with cats.. and suggested i take them to the animal shelter ( it is not a no-kill shelter) i said i dont think so! then she gave me a bunch of crap cuz they arent fixed yet!!!


then fianlly said if i cant find a home for them .. they would pay for their spay.. if i could continue to feed hem

Curly thats good that you can get a free spay for them. It's better then nothing. And if you can provide a shelter it might be the best thing for them

Just got in from the gym. I let ds sleep in (as he's off from school for a 3 week break) and when he got up at 9:45am....he said 'lets go to the gym MOM," hehe....he wanted to see what other kids were in the daycare room. We raced around getting dressed and doing a bazillion of things, but after all was said and done, I had a GREAT WORKOUT!!! I'm glad we went!! See how easy it was for me NOT to go to the gym? My excuse was it was too late to go. I have to really get back to just doing it!!!

well Ugg got a home today on a farm... i sure hope she is ok.. when i left she was in a cage so she can get used to her new home but she sure didnt look too happy!

I had a bad weekend. Saturday is my cheat meal so I'd expect it but today I had to buy a big chocolate bar when shopping. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Well my weekend was FAB-U-LOUS!!! Yesterday was my 18th wedding anniversary and although the food was to die for....I was successful in limiting my portions to enjoy and 'taste' the food but not an all out free for all. For breakfast I made, whole wheat blueberry pancakes. Lunch was deep fried brie (to which I shared a smaller portion and gave half to ds) and then dinner was a specialty of mine.....rack of lamb. Again smaller portions than normal and fresh green beans. Dessert, well.....okay, a little crazy.....fried banana's with a sugar sauce and a small scoop of icecream. Anyone watch the "take home chef"? , he did a similar banana dessert a few weeks ago.
We had a great day!!! and now its off to the gym!!!

Curly....she'll be okay, imagine all the fun she'll have hunting and running around. she'll be okay.

Valerie....oooh, gotta watch those impulse items at the checkout counters. I know the feeling about chocolate.....ds is selling Hershey choc. bars as a fundraiser for boy scouts. Theres a box left just a' sitting on the kitchen counter STAIRING AT ME!!! so far so good, no takers. Today is a new day!
