  • Quote: Fantastic Jenn!!! Congrats on the pound. Do you go to the WW meetings? If so when is the official weigh in? Also, are there any other Smart Ones you like? I think I need to keep some of those on hand for when I just can't think up a lunch on my own. Let me know. --Amy
Thanks... No, I don't go to the meetings..lol I come here instead.. . I'd like to go but right now I can't since we have 1 car and hubby is at work during the time they take place around here. I LOVE the SmartOne meals.. if you look through, its mostly all I eat when I need a hot meal and all cause I can't cook!! lol haha I stay stocked up on them. I really love the broccoli and potatoes w/ cheese, chicken parmesan, spheghetti and the pizza, and all the alfredo ones!! The desserts are to die for too!!!
  • K.. for dinner I had:

Salsbury Steak w/ Mac and Cheese = 5 pts
    Boiled Potatoes = 5 pts
    Bread = 1 pt.
    __________
    11 pts.

So that brings me up to 23 points for the day already... May have a snack a little bit later...
  • You're welcome Amy, Glad you like the cheese & crackers...it's been my new favorite staple, that and those darn Jimmy Dean canadian ham, cheese and egg mcmuffins.
B: latte w/SF french vanilla syrup and steamed milk 3pts
2 of my low fat bran muffins 3pts
    L: salad w/chicken, bacon and barbeque 7pts
    S: 100 cal bag 2pt
    D: mcmuffin thingie 5pts, oj 1pt
That's 21 out of 26, will prob have some popcorn later.
  • Ugh! I think you guys are staying lower on points than I am. Let's see, where was I.........

after snack, snack, snack and oh yeah, more snack I was at 9 or 10 points.

for dinner I finally made the homemade mac n cheese, ham steak and salad.

I did not really count points for dinner. I know I had about a deck of cards worth of ham. I had about a cup of the mac n cheese and 1 point salad dressing. So, I am sure I am at or above my 22 for the day.

Jennifer, how is your job going. I remember when you switched over to that last one. Sorry that did not work out for you. Is this one going okay? I hope so.

My poor daughter is having a tummy ache tonight. She has a field trip tomorrow. Hope she is okay.

Son is doing a bit better. I only gave him Motrin once today and he played more instead of sitting on the sofa with glossy eyes. He still looks exhausted though. He gets bags under his eyes when he runs a fever. I should have bags under MY eyes. I was up with him four times last night between more fever medicine, coughing, and just a hight temp and not able to give him motrin 'cause of that darn six hour limit thing.

Anyway, sorry for going on and on. Thanks for the ears. --Amy
  • Ha! 3rd time is a charm. I have tried to get my photo on here two times before with no success. This is not the best photo, but the only one I had. I took it about 4 months ago. And yes, I took it myself. I hate how obvious that is. But oh well. Now you guys know who you are talking to. Now I want to get some before and afters up.

PS my husband wants to take some of the credit for helping me with the photo. So here.........thank you DH.
  • Amy -beautiful pic!! MEN... always have to have their say huh ??? Mine's the same way!!
  • Amy, I love the pic! We should all put pics on, so we know who we're talking to I've thought about that before, always nice to put a face w/a name.

Crazy snow day here, work actually closed early.

Amy, thanks for asking how my new job is going. It's fantastic. I'm back in pediatrics, which I adore and the new Dr.'s that I'm working for are absolutely wonderful! They opened an office right in my town, about 30 seconds from my house (as long as I can cross one main street w/out traffic) and the Dr's are young, new and women!!!! I relate to the one so well, we've definitely got a good friendship developing. The oncology job wasn't worth it, I took it for the pay increase and was miserable...just goes to show money doesn't buy happiness.

Ohhh I want to tell you guys a secret, shhhhh don't tell my hubby!! *wink* At my new office, we've been hired to clean it...we get $25.00 each time we clean, and we're allowed to clean 3x/week. So the receptionist and I said we'd split that...that's $37.50 a week for us both. I decided to open a savings account in my name only, and not tell my hubby in hopes, for the first time in my life...I mean EVER...I can save some money. My plan was to put it away, and in a year or so...book a trip for him and I somewhere and surprise him. Well today, the recep. said she just doesn't have the time to clean w/me so she said I can do it all...which heck, that's $75.00 a week....that is $3600.00/year!!!!!!!! I can do a wonderful trip for us, just by cleaning our office!!! I can even clean during work hours, when we're slow...how awesome is that! I'm so geeked, I truly hope I can save this $ and prove everyone wrong, including myself.
That was my good news for the day
  • Ok, so I have my new NSV

I went shopping tonight w/my future sis-in-law and found these cool pants, kinda carpenter style, front square pocket like, boot leg....a cool dusty blue color of sorts...I'm in a 16 now, and these are a 16, but obviously run small...cuz they don't fit. How they did fit, I loved...IF they only buttoned up (lol)
So, these are my new goal pants...I don't know if many of you remember my VS goal, and since I've fulfilled that (numerous times now, lol) it's time for another one. Not sure what weight I will need to get to, to fit into them....I'm guessing 185-190. So here we go................................
  • Jennifer, cool goal on the pants. I am always inspired by new clothes. I so remember your striped bag goal. It is funny, because DH and I joke about how my black panties look like a spider when you take them out of the dryer. They are so small now. I just had to throw away about six pair that were too big for me. I have started to get compliments again about weight loss. Doesn't take too long to make a difference. I am sure you will be in those pants sooner than you think.

I had a BAD day today!!!! Won't post what I ate. I will just tell you it involved a sweet breakfast item times three!!! UGH PMS all the way.

Will check in over the busy weekend. Have a good one. ---Amy
  • I have two words for you all:

    AMARETTO CHEESECAKE

WW has a new flavor of yogurt and it is Yummy!!! I'm having a hard time finding my ww yogurt here lately, had to go to 2 stores today and they only had about 6 left total... 3 black cherry, which I love! 1 white choc. raspberry which I haven't tried yet, and 2 amaretto cheesecake.

I'm such a tard, why do I fall off the wago EVERY day lately? You'd think the bathing suits would push me into gear, ugh! I did weigh myself today, and I'm up 1lb, but...TOM is due today or tomorrow.

I'm hoping to get on the gazelle tonight during Desperate Housewives, and I think I mentioned my mom joined Curves w/me so we've been going 3x/week regularly again. I have 3 demonstrations this week, candles tomorrow w/ a friend, some gold one w/another friend Tues and I'm hosting a Tastefully Simple party Wed. I am vowing to take my water, and NOT eat the munchies they usually serve at these events.

    Today hasn't been too bad
    B: egg mcmuffin & oj 6pts
    L: yogurt 1pt
Woke up late, went shopping ...it's 2:25 and I'm just now eating the yogurt...prob won't get much of a real lunch in since I'm making spaghetti for dinner

    More later
  • Hi Everyone -- I have been in hiatus from the internet and barely at WW. We have had houseguests for skiing or stayed in a hotel (for more skiing) for most of the last two weeks. I drove back and forth to school on the days I had to work, but my friends and family were all on vacation. DH hurt his knee and I managed to maintain.

Back to WW today with a .2 gain in the last 2 weeks. So far in january I have gone -.4, maintain, skip, +.2 for not much of a diffference. Starting tomorrow I teach 4 classes a day with no prep - so my life gets busier.

    Today:
3 - oat bran with blueberries
    2 - creamer
3 - nonfat sugar free chai latte
    4 - lean cuisine meal
    5 - cliff bar
    5 - ice cream

22 points so far (of a 24 target)
looking like water for dinner or a few extra points
  • Welcome back Morrigan!
I re-joined Jan 3rd, some days are great, some not so great. Seems I can't get myself to commit 150%. I can't complain though, I keep thinking where I would be, IF I wasn't at least half assed trying. My first week back I lost 4lbs, my 2nd I gained 1, my 3rd I lost 3...this week I'm choosing to not weigh in on my normal day (which would be Wed.) as I have a catered lunch at work tomorrow and a demonstration at a freinds in the evening...and TOM is here...so Wed wouldn't be successful anyhow. I may WI on Sat, I'm still debating. I know I'm setting myself up for failure by thinking ahead of how I'll bomb the day tomorrow...to me though, I'm being realistic. I know I'll eat the crap they bring, and eat the munchies at my friends.

    Stressful life of a woman!!
  • Good evening. Hope you all had a good day. Glad to see you here Morrigan. Congratulations on maintaining. Hope Dh is doing better now.

I had a crummy day. I had 2pt waffles for breakfast and it went down hill after that. I'm not gonna tempt anyone by posting the details. I am tired and don't have to stay up late to work tonight. So, I am going to turn in. I have weigh in tomorrow and have NO idea what to expect. TOM here as well.

I will check back tomorrow. Have a good one. ---Amy
  • Even with gaining last fall - I am still 20 lbs lighter than I was, and if it wasn't for WW I would probably be 20 lbs heavier than I was.

    3 - cereal with berries
    5 - latte(s)
4 - frozen lunch meal thing
    5 - cliff bar
  • Sorry I haven't checked in for a while.. I had computer problems and stress. lol But I'm back with a NEW computer, I will update yall in a few!!
