Came here to check email...........so I thought I would say hello!

Diane- I know you know that it is not good to reward yourself with food......but WW does tell you to build a goodie into your program each day. Why not save that for the stress eating.......I have been known to eat a whole box of sugar free jello on a stressed night......for a whopping 0 points. Smartpop (I think it is Orville Redenbacker) popcorn- the WHOLE BAG (woo hoo!!!!!!!) is only 2 points!!!!!!! A slimfast Chocolate caramel snack (not meal) bar is only 2 points. Ya gotta come up with a way to workout of those stress munchies.......ok, I know that using really low points stuff for stress eating is still not getting over the stress problem, but it is at least not costing you too many points. Hang in there, this is something we all have a problem with. Even try some excercise- simple stretching or a short walk (depending on how late your stress eating kicks in), anything instead of eating. OR- you can post......which is keeping me out of the kitchen now for a very good reason!!!!!!!

Spryng- my windows need cleaning.......want to help????
Congrats on getting yours done.

Geri- how did your day go- did you find a farmers market?

Leigh- how did you like the Boca burgers????? Congrats there Mama!!!!! Makes you feel good, right?

Michele- how did the interview with LaQuinta go??? Nice to be wanted, and at least to have a choice! Congrats.

Crystal- how ya feeling hon????

A busy day,, got some of what I wanted to do done. BTW, Spryng- I get my walks in by hook or by crook- even if they are short. Might take today off (TOM)- and I am a bit tired. A cup of tea sounds nice right now.
Gotta go take the trash out. See ya tomorrow!

Hi everyone.

Nikki- I hope you get a honeymoon soon! I know a few couples who couldn't leave the states for thei honeymoon for somewhat similar reasons - when 1/2 of the couple is from another country. As for thinking about food too much - I wonder if you might find Dr. Phil's book helpful? Is it availible over there? It's called The Ultimate Weight Loss Solution and he deals a lot with the emotional/psychological reasons we overeat. It was insightful, though for the diet part, I needed the structure of WW.

Ginny- I do like the "Mama" It's very cute when said with his little voice. I'm with you on the indulgence thing - I fit a little sweet into my points each day - usually with a WW dessert. Did you get a cup of tea in? I hope so!

Spryng and those with WW magazine - uh . . . I have a question about one of the Success Stories. On page 62 - there must be a mistake in Nicole Fanguy's after weight or in her height. There's no way at 5'6" she's 150 lbs and wears a size 4 or is that slender. She must weigh less or be taller - I'm 5'6" and will no way be a 4 nine lbs from now!

Well, I was just checking in so I wouldn't get too behind on the posts.
TTYL . . .

Jayme - Welcome, I am Melinda, mom to John Wesley, 9 months. I am from Charleston. Where do you live in SC? You will find tons of support here.

Spryng - I actually had the savings meal book marked and just had not look at it yet. Thanks.

Ginny - Congrats on the 1.8 down. I am glad that you are back for awhile. Your WW meeting advice is very helpful.

Michelle - I hope everything works out with the job. Do you live in a seasonal area where they would just have summer help.

Leigh - So cute Ma-Ma. All JW says is DA-Da, Ha, a, but not the ma yet.

I worked today. I am getting sick of it bc it is summer and I would love to be at the beach everyday with JW. Dh says that in the fall when everything slows down I will want something to do. He is probably right. I booked a trip for Philly at the end of the month to visit my sister. First plane ride for JW.

They changed my plan at LA and I feel satisfied and not full. You know what I mean, so I think I am getting the right amount of food now for my exercise level. I love the bike. I haven't made it to the gym bc it is so great to ride outside. Not much planned for tomorrow. I will check in.

Hello ladies,

Welcome Jayme..I'm Geri, mom to Will-3 and Tony-1...aka the little devils. Actually, they've been pretty good the past 2 days.

Di...be careful what you wish for.......remember when they're 3 they talk back

Leigh...Mamama...was he whining? I guarantee he knows what he was saying . No healthy food in WI? What are you saying . Oh, I guess you meant at Dh's relative's house. Good luck! Now I guess they've changed the weather to 80! When are you coming?

Melinda, so glad you like the bike. I'm hoping to get a good ride in with my gf on Sunday sometime. I love those long bike rides. I may take the boys tomorrow morning too. We'll see.

Spryng, no, the farmer's market's not in my basement silly I was looking to see what days of the week the particular one we want to go to is. It looks like we'll be going tomorrow after Tony's nap is done.

Ginny, so TOM's visiting hey? Lucky you! Hope he gets his little butt out of there soon! So nice to see you posting again.

Nikki...I ate enough cookies for the both of us the last two days. Luckily they're all gone now. Our neighbor gave us Pop Tarts that her kids didnt' want. DH loves Pop Tarts...tonight he came out of the bedroom chanting "curse you pop tarts" as he headed for the cabinets. I told him that's what I said to the cookies as I ate the last one. The poison has left my house!!!

Crystal..your dh was so very understanding! Don't worry about the meltdown...I have them all the time and I'm not even pregnant! Seriously, I hope your doc appt goes well!

hi Michelle! I think about you everytime I mow the lawn ...only it's about once a week, not every two days!! The lawn gets watered when we're splashing in the pool!!

Hi Penny...cute pics. Glad you're back too.

Hi to anyone I missed.

Here's a picture of one of my flower beds. We had to raise the brick out of the groud because it was so buried down in the ground. That's what I did the other day. I love this area because it's the perrenial garden..so easy to take care of. We added a couple of plants this year but I see alot of bare area that I can add to in the coming years . Have a great night!

Good evening all!

Well, I must say Cold Mountain is a very real drama. It tore my heart out in parts and a few parts made me want to cry (but I didn't) Renee Zellwegger (I know I spelled her name wrong) did an excellent job on her role and she was the only comical one in it. But it was a good movie and definitely worth watching. JMHO! LOL.

Melinda, I'm sorry you wish you could quit your job for summer. I understand how you want to spend so much time with your baby though, it's his first real summer that he can enjoy and interact with you and the outside world. Glad LA changed your diet plan some so now you are feeling better about it.

Leigh, I thought the same thing when I read that success story. She must be very muscular to fit into a size 4. But it's possible. She's tall. Most people my height and weight are in 4 or 6's so I feel bad sometimes, but I know I don't have much lean muscle on me and am still flabby. I'm working on it! LOL.

Ginny, I'd come wash your windows anyday!!! LOL

Nikki, I didn't realize the time difference between you and us. (of course I never noticed you lived in Australia!! How exciting!) Have you been over here to live or visit before? And believe me, not all of my meals are great, lol. They always sound good but it's 50/50, 50% are good and 50% are BAD! LOL. But that's how is goes with new recipes. I like variety though and this helps me and the kids try new things and I never get bored. Plus I have found cooking to be very soothing so I love my cook books, lol. Hey when you are dieting that is all there is to think about... FOOD! You think about what is for everymeal, how much you can have, what you can get in between meals... etc. It's terrible but food becomes foremost in our lives for awhile. It's normal. It will balance itself out.

Well I already stayed up later than normal so I could finish that movie so I need to hit the sack. I will yak at you all tomorrow! G'nite!

Geri you snuck in on me! Your flower garden is very pretty, so is your lawn! Very nice! My lawn gets watered the same way yours does, lol, either by the pool or rain

Hey girls just got home from work!!

Spryng - I don't know how I missed your post about the exercise man I'm a dork lol, anyway, any ANY exercise is better than none, do what feels good for YOU!! Incorporating exercise into your program does not have to be an all or nothing enhancement. Like I said do it for you and if some days you feel like "hey I don't feel like doing 40 minutes of workout I only feel like 10" GO FOR IT!!!! You are doing so great girly!!

My interview today went well! We'll really know how well it went if they call me back lol The girl who interviewed me didn't have too much experience in front office operations so I think she was a bit intimidated by my knowledge of yield management and award policies. Oh well I don't have to work anyway I just do enjoy the few hours I get out of the house, it keeps me sane I think lol.

I'm not gonna get personal tonight and I apologize but it is so late (11 pm) and I need some sleep. I will TTYL!!!

I love you all!!!

Michelle

Spryng this one is for you since we were on the subject earlier, it was posted in the exercise forum and I wanted to share it with you

*Exercise done badly works better than no exercise at all.

*Exercise done half-heartedly works half as well as exercise done with desire.

*Exercise done occasionally does little.

*Exercise done regularly does much.

*Exercise done to please others is work.

*Exercise done to please yourself is joy.

*Exercise done in private is deeply rewarding.

* Exercise done with friends is bonding.

*Exercise done to kill time is time well spent.

*Exercise done to start the day is enormous.

*Exercise done to end the day is consoling and healing.

*Exercise done to raise the spirits never fails.

*Exercise done because you must builds discipline.

*Exercise done to calm the storm empowers.

*Exercise never done is a great, great loss.

*Exercise: Don't expect permanent or healthy weight loss without it.

Post NJ SAHM having a hard time losing weight

Hey everyone, I am new to this web site. So far, from what I see, I like it. I am a 30 Year Old mother of 2. Abigail 4, and Patrick 21m. I am finding it VERY difficult finding time to do exercise. I tried getting up early and even earlier , but somehow they here me and are up too. Since the birth of Patrick almost 2 years ago, I haven't been able to have ANY will power at all. I get bored of dieting and exercising too. I really would love to have a buddy around here to walk or go to the gym with. Of course, other support, via internet is great too. Any one in Northern NJ-Bergen, Passaic county area. Pease let me know. I have to lose 65lbs

Thanks

Welcome melmcc99! I am spryng! I don't live anywhere near you but I know what you mean about needing someone to work out with and all that. I get all my support here with these women, how about you give us a try?? Exercise is hard when you have little ones. I have 3 kids, ages 4,3, and 1 yo. I either try to workout when they are napping or at bedtime. I can't do the early morning thing... my body refuses, lol. What diet are you on and what are your stats? I would love to get to know you better.
ok, I really need to check on dinner. TTYL!
