Hi ladies!

Long time no see, I know. I had been aiming only to put on 25 lbs with this pregnancy - *snorts with suppressed laughter*.

Yeah right - I went a bit mad and hit the 25 lbs about two months ago!!

BUT - I took myself in hand and managed to maintain that weight for about 7 weeks. Then went away on vacation last week and came back 5 lbs heavier. So I've now put on 30 lbs. However, I am determined to lose those vacation pounds and maintain at a 25 gain for a while longer, then I can allow myself slowly to get up to 30-35 lbs.

I have my maintenance diet all figured out - I allow myself a few indulgences over the weekend and then am really good from Monday to Thursday. My little group still comes round on Thursday nights so that's my weigh-in day. The indulgences make me feel like I'm not totally deprived. I haven't actually been calorie counting, just being sensible. But I do want to lose those vacation pounds so I am calorie counting till they've gone, then I'll go back to the maintenance diet.

I do actually have medical approval for maintaining - when I told my midwife that I had put a lot of weight on early on and had been trying to maintain for a while, she said that was fine. Baby has plenty of fat to feed off.

Where is Tina? I have read this thread and the previous one and no sign.

Hi ROBSIA . . .

Glad to hear things are going well with the pregnancy and that you are trying to control the weight gain a bit. Not easy, I'm sure. Afraid most of the old group has disappeared including Tina.

Oh well, good threads die sometimes and there's not much that anyone can do about it.

Have a great day . . . drop in again when you get a chance.
