Hello all my SWEET buddies! (we ARE sweeter than the non-diabetic populatin, right??) So far, the day has been good. I went down and pulled handles and decorated some more mugs first thing this morning. It sure felt good to accomplish something! I have a few creamers done too. I got two orders for pieces today, so I am hoping I can get them done in a timely fashion. No blowups, etc!

I went to the grocery store to get bread and eggs, and checked at the pharmacy to find out if they had heard back about insurance coverage for my Byetta. It came through, and I am approved for as long as I have that insurance. I was excited! Then she rang it up and I was stunned! The co-pay is less than half what I was paying with the other insurance. I am so excited! This insurance did not charge me a co-pay on my metformin, and now this! It will save me about $50 a month.

I am going to suit up and go work out in the pool in just a bit. I hope I don't get sunburn!

Oh, and I almost forgot...the biggest 'goodie' is that my bg has been 121, 121, and 119 the last three mornings! I am so relieved, I can feel the stress leaving my body, I swear!

MEOWEE: I hope Jazz responds to the treatment. He might do well on the 'Cat-kins' diet, as my neighbor calls it. She uses a high protein cat food that does not have all that crap in it because her cat seemed to be developing diabetes and the vet thought it would help. I think it is the soy and corn they put in cat foods that cause the problems we see like urinary problems and diabetes. Friskies probably has corn in it. I get Costco's store brand because the first ingredient is chicken. It just seems wrong if the first ingredient is corn when cats are carnivores, you know?

ROSEY: I am glad your hubby was not hurt. I worry about mine when he wants to go off camping alone. And he refuses to carry a cellphone, not that it would help in the mountains. Spirit stones sound pretty cool. Do they have crystals in them if broken open? Or am I confusing them with Geodes?

JEANNE: I am with you on the hot temps! We seem to go from winter, to spring to summer in less than a week usually! This year, spring has lingered, and it has been nice in some ways. Unfortunately, the weather is definitely weird here. There are forest fires in south Georgia, something that is extremely rare for this time of year especially.

ROSETTA: I am not looking forward to my next A1C either... I have an appointment with my new doctor tomorrow morning, and I am going to be interested to see how she wants to handle my various health issues.

Off to do some water aerobics! Later!

Congratulations MONET . . . those are great BGLs . . . congratulations on the improved medical care programme, too. Saving money is always a good thing.

Interesting comment about the cat food, obviously the worlds' purest carnivore species doesn't need (or thrive on) a vegetable-based diet, think I'll have to do some investigating. When Jazz was first diagnosed, the Vet suggested special food for him -- tres 'spensive -- problem was only Purrecious would eat it. Maybe I can find something he'll like better.

Have a great evening . . .
