Hi Smashers,

I had a good day today. I finally warmed up. lol.

melly~ our scale does the same thing.. I always try to keep it in the same spot. This apartment isn't exaclty level, either.

Cherry ~ Thanks for the fitness calculators. I had read on another site that once you figure up the amount of calories that you need to maintain your current weight... then subtract 500 calories for every lb you want to lose a week. For example, when I put my info in the calculator it said 2303 I subtracted 1000 calories from that and I got 1303. That is the amount I need to eat every day to lose 2 lbs next week. It actually works.

I'm feeling great!! Thanks for asking! Right on plan I think except no rice,tofu or anything I have to actually chew. porridge and yogert have been the staples along with a bananas, milk and whatever I can have, lots and lotsa of water also.

Good morning to all of you beautiful ladies. Sounds like all are smashing!! hew!!
My first day on detox was good. Starting on day two. Had a very busy day.
Has anyone saw " THE LAKE HOUSE"? Ineed to plan for next weeks menu
and go to the store for some veggies and fruit. I know one thing we can do
this one time and for a life time. So let all of us get ha!!
we can do it !! so go team we are the best and will have what we
all want. ie, water , making good food choices onplan. planning out menu
and always having a plan b, when we are weak . will put us right where
we want to be. Dont let anyone are anything stop you . we all have the
power to change !! If you have the want power , smashers is the way!!

winniepeg. hope you are feeling bette. I hate going to the dentist. Girl
take care. You had no choice what you could eat. huggs.

Sherrie, keep it up girfriend you are on a roll !! nothing can stop you!! just
think at xmas time how proud you will feel. We all learn from past behavior.
So this year you want have to say i will start on my diet next year!! that is
how i felt when xmas came around last year. it is such a great feeling

but my brain when blank, and i need to learn all the names. So just know
that it is not becuase i dont care. we are all a team here and are in this
together. Do we want to weigh in on wed? I think most of us started then

I'm involved in the Beat The Bulge game and we always weigh in on Mondays, so that day works best for me!
Because of the amount of weight I had left to lose to reach goal I think it will be harder for me to lose. I am expecting to loose between 2-4 pounds from the detox, which is great considering that I've been on a plateau for the last 6 months! I'll let you all know tomorrow!

Greetings to all from a cold rainy day in Arkansas. I actually put on a long sleeve shirt today and it is still cool.

I posted the chex mix recipe on the other thread. THis is more of a "to your taste" type recipe. I just used my old "nuts and bolts" recipe. left off the butter and other not on plan foods and sprayed my cereal with pam. DH likes his hotter, but this tasted like the old recipe did.

Be careful though, we are limited to 1 1/2 cups of dry cereal a day on phase II. Also it has salt on it.

Shae8230~would you post your Italian Stuffed Peppers. That sounds good and I have never been successful with stuffed peppers.

Welcome to all the new Smashers. I've been on the program since 9/27 and have lost most all my cravings.. And I can hardly tolerate a diet Pepsi and I used to be so addicted I would drink more than a 6 pak a day.

Hi everyone. We haven't been on for a week or two but we are still going strong through Phase 3 and losing weight (and haven't cheated at all). We were sick for a bit but I was able to make some really good chicken and brown rice soup. Good Luck to you all.

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone has had a good day. My dh surprised me tonight with a new TV and a new couch and matching chair. He also got me a stepper so that I can exercise this winter. He has been working 7 days a week for 2 months so he had earned extra money. That is the only way that we can afford to get new things. His regular paycheck pays the bills and buys groceries. But, that is all. Anyway.. I can't wait to try my new stepper. I think that I will get on it after I am done here. Even though it is after 11 pm.

Dee~ I posted the pepper recipe. Hope you like it.

Sandy~ Good to see you. I am glad that you and Carlos are still smashing. Sorry that you have been sick. That soup sounds good, though.

Wide~ I am thinking that maybe we ought to start a weigh in thread each day and everyone can just post their weight on the day that they weigh. It would still be once a week. Because I know that there are going to be a lot of different weigh in days. What do you think??? Glad that you are feeling good.

Linda~ You are right. I don't know how many times that I have said "I will start my diet next year". It is such a good feeling to know that I won't have to say that this year!!

Good Morning sherry, YOu have a sweet dh. lol Congrats on the new
tv, couch , chair, and stepper. I hope i didnt miss anything!! dont know
why i would. Just 5:00 am this moring!! hew!! Well this is one time
this new years eve , where alot of us want have to make that usual
resoultion!! cause we are already on our way to working towards goal!!
