Hi All,

Well I am home after a lovely day out. We had a lovely LONG walk on the beach before going for a Subway meal. I am worn out now, so am sure to have an early night tonight

Silentarctic - sounds like you are starting the diet off well by getting lots of vegetables in the house, and no chocolate or naughty foods.

I know what you mean about how fat you feel when you get over 300 lbs, it's amazing what a difference those extra lbs make. Not long now until you are under 300 again and feeling much better.

Heather - I kind of didn't think it would have been the lb that upset you, I know you are too level headed about losing weight for that. I am sorry you had some family issues but am glad they are all sorted now. That probably means you beat the urge to binge, you should be so proud of yourself. When you get to Onderland you will be thankful you didn't give in to a bit of emotional comfort eating!

Melissa - on walking 10 minutes straight. I ditto what Misti said, she worded it perfectly. Well done

Sharon - you know it's funny how you said I won't be long til I reach 50 lbs lost too. I was only saying to Daren this morning how thrilled I am that Misti reached losing that much and how amazing she is. He then reminded me that I had nearly lost that much, and I was like, OH YEAH. I just can't see that much of a loss in me so I don't equate the numbers as anywhere near as special as when I see people like Misti lose that much. It does make me smile though to know I am nearly at such a great milestone.

Sorry you have some bleeding again, did they tell you to expect any after your test, or could it indeed be TOM.

Is it your official WI day today? If it is, then I am sorry you haven't seen a loss, but you know what I always say, if you have been good then the loss WILL show up soon enough. BUT if you weighed when you shouldn't have then tut tut, be patient and see what you weigh on your official day

Claire - Ditto, I used to be very upset when my name wasn't called at the end of Romper Room too!! My name was rare then and now, it's Ann-marie.

Sorry you had a bad day yesterday between the belt coming off your exercise bike and then eating too much. I am sure your diet mojo hasn't left you, you wait til you get on the scales and see a loss, it will boost your spirits again

Rkrs - I love your new photo, you look great in it. It's hard to believe you are overweight looking at it

I hope you had a great time at the zoo, I haven't been to one since 1997 when I went to Toronga Zoo in Sydney

Kirsikka - so glad to hear you had a great time with your friend, it's a shame you can't see her more often, but it does make the times you do see her even more special.

Sorry that you saw a gain on the scales, but as you have guessed, it is more than likely just water weight, so I wouldn't worry about it, you will lose that again quick enough

Happy belated 30th birthday

Misti - bye bye boobies I love it, lol Well done again on making it to the 50 lbs lost goal

Patti - how are you doing today, I hope you are keeping well, and OFF those scales until tomorrow Can't wait to see how much more you have lost

Annie, MariaLucia, Luan, Dusty, Jilly, Julee, Zelma, Brandnewme, Nancy, Brenda, Catherine, Crock, Sassy, Xena, Tracey, Valerie, Lilion, Alison, all the missing Andreas, the other Heather, and anybody else I have missed have a great day.

Hugs,

Ammi

Cc9455 – Thanks, I know all about that, I just know what I CAN do, and what I am doing are very two different things, when I get uber super focused I can do a lot, and really push myself. I want to do that, I just have my attention split so many ways right now its hard.

Wyllenn – I think you will definitely find something that you love about yourself , I have to believe that’s true.

Toofatforu - I like to ‘get it over with’ too. I gun more for distance total than for time. Or usually set a limit for both like when I reaches THREE miles OR the clock hits 50 minutes, either way I’m done (ah the beauty of a treadmill) unless I’m walking outside, as long as the bugs don’t swarm me I can do it for literal hours. Though that’s more strolling than walking I guess. (lost in headspace not pushing self feet just walking one in front of an other it does something but I know its not exactly cardio lol) .

Voodoo: lol, its not for everyone trust me dear, its just what we cling to when we have em. ~L~

rk - yeah for the zoo

AmmiUk - Trying to anyhow its so hard! but been eating veggieful the past few days.

Just finished a 25 minutes pilates routine at lunch *accomplished* and had a healthy lunch (sorta anyhow special K vanilla, half a cup of milk, 1 cup of carrots and ranch dressing) and burnt a cd...

I feel somewhat accomplished now just to survive the rest of the workday *speeds back yikes....*

Hi all,

Quick post today. Congrats to all the loosers. You are doing well. Big hugs to those who need it. I just got back from the DR. and am a bit worried about some thing in my mouth. She prescribed some nasty swish and swallow stuff to take four times a day. If it isn't gone byt eh 14th then I have to have a biopsy. Please keep me in your prayers. I will try to come back on line later tonight.

Blessings to you all,
Annie

Annie -- Good luck with what's in your mouth!!

silentartic -- Oh, I love lots of things about myself! no worries there!

Ack. I am not feeling the same need to binge as yesterday, but I am definitely feeling like I just don't want to DO this anymore... watch what I eat and exercise.

So, I went ahead and did my exercising anyway, and packed a healthy lunch and dinner (won't be home until after 10 tonight...)... but this is just a hard day!

I was going to catch up last night, but the site was down for maintenance. Even so I ended up staying up WAY too late reading (surprise, surprise).

Scale is up again, but I am really bloated again. I know I am still in recovery, so I need to give myself a break. I am actually starting to have a bit more pain now - feels like heavy cramping.

Valerie - I have read through about book 8 of the Wheel of Time series. I thought the first 4 books were great and then in my opinion they seemed to go downhill. Maybe when the series is finished I will read the remaining ones.

Misti - Right now I am reading the series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George RR Martin. Currently I just started book 3 and have book 4 waiting in the wings.

Default Zoo was great

Hello Ladies the Zoo was great! We had so much fun and the we went to The Science center. I hope you ladies also had a wonderful day.

Ammi --- Thanks for your nice words about my photo that made my day brighter.

I find myself moving more and more everyday which is good. My new exercise this week is dancing. I put on my iPod and dance around the house so much that my children think it's a game

This is crazy, but I'm 4 threads behind, and I'm going to CATCH UP. Whoa. LOL!

Had a really good time this weekend, and I'm just sad that my Aunt & Uncle are gone back down to North Carolina now. Although, Andrew & I might fly down there in November to visit them for a long weekend....

This Saturday is Medieval Times, and I'm so excited!!! It's about

I weighed in the other day, after a week and a half, and I was still at 280. I'm really starting to get frustrated, cuz I only seem to lose like a pound every couple of weeks or something. -sigh-.

NSV, though....it was a compliment. Today, my boss told me that I looked beautiful, and that she loved my shoes. I was just sorta SHOCKED. And here's the kicker...I said thank you. Heh. Big for me.

I'm going to see about getting at least a LITTLE exercise in, cuz I feel like a slug. Wish I could find my YOGA dvd, but it's been missing for like a week!

Ammi - They are probably about the same premise...the show you went to, and the one we're going to. The whole thing lasts about 3 hours, and they have jousting! Hehe...it's so fun! I am SO looking forward to it!!

Nancy - There are definately a lot worse things you could be addicted to! But I hear ya...if I get a good book, I can read until no tomorrow...and everything else goes to the back burner.

Annie - Your new place looks great!!! Hope you LOVE it there!! And you are in my thoughts, hun.

Kirsikka - CONGRATS on the new job!! Hope you have a great time out with your friend.

Mel - That's exactly the way I'm looking at it! I would have been freaking out if that happened to me! I'm a WUSS! LOL! Where at in MI is your family?

Silentarctic - Hello and to the group! What plan (if any) are you going to follow?

Rkrs - Good for you for making this change! And you've already lost 68 pounds! That's so fantastic!!! I love South Beach. There are quite a few of us here on it. I love that you put your photo as your avatar. I always love looking at the people I type to.

Misti - Down to -50!!! That's so GREAT!

Patti - Hey, that's GREAT news about the AC!!!

Wyllenn - On the subject of boobs. I'm so surprised that I haven't lost my weight from there...as I've heard a LOT of women do. I'm still a D cup. I can totally understand why you would be a little....upset? That your chest is shrinking. Definately. And according to that guide, I would be a 52 DD....and I'm a 48D....so weird.

Sharon - I had horrid back fat, too...it's so GREAT when it starts to go away!!! There's a little left on me, but not NEARLY as much as it used to be! Congrats on your NSV! And that's great about the writing!!! Oh, and don't think I was ignoring you earlier. My Mom must have gotten online...and my messenger logs on automatically from my account...even if she's on her account. Weird. But, I was at work, so I didn't get your message until about an hour ago.

Brenda - Great news that it was just water weight, and you're back where you were before!

Missy - I agree with everyone here...it's IMPROVEMENT! And it's more than you're used to doing! And I think it's GREAT!!! As for weights, I started out doing 3 lb weights for my exercises, and then I only started benching 20-25 lbs...lol. Not so much, but it really helps!

Hey Ladies! HUGE NSV'S!! First of all I went into Subway for lunch and a girl there (that I don't see besides when she makes my sandwich, lol) asked me if I cut my hair, and she said it looked really great. Tee Hee! Also, I got in 3295 steps today - 1.5 miles - and I swam for 80 minutes!! According to a calorie calculator I burned 289 calories for the walking, and 1131 for swimming!! OMG!! And while I was swimming I held little foam things and did biceps curls, and other strength exercises, too! Now that I've been out all day I'm gonna go try to find some ideal strength exercises from my books for me to start in a couple days!
Stay OP chickies!!!

Well, another year older! It is(was)my birthday today and I ate like CRAP! But I had a good day so it was semi-worth it. My friend Jenn took me to the Olive Garden and we got soup and salad. The waitstaff there sucks but we had fun anyway. She has a daughter who is about 2 and OMG she is PRECIOUS! I adore her! Instead of Chrissy she calls me Kissy with a little lisp and is about the most adorable thing ever. After we ate we went over to the mall and walked around and looked at clothes for her daughter and I am feeling a little baby hungry. Heh. I guess Ima gonna have to find me a husband! LOL But at 26 I guess that is not TOO unusual. I came home and ate dinner and then cake and raspberry sherbet. I don't feel bad at all about it. I know that this is a life style change and with that there are going to be days that you want to eat cake! And if you tell yourself you can't have it then you are just going to want it more. The only thing I can do is not let it detour me and make sure I am OP tomorrow. Well I am going to go listen to my 30 seconds to Mars CD (a present from my sis awww) and try to sleep. I didn't get to sleep till past 4am last night and was woken up by the sound of hammering at 8am. Grrrr! I will have to try and do personals tomorrow. Gnight!

Hello everyone!

Just popping in as I fell asleep this evening and just woke up LOL... so much for getting anything done! But I DID work out first... will go post it in the exercise thread.

Wow you won't believe this... but today my co-workers surprised me with a "party" for my losing 50 pounds! Had tons of fresh fruits and veggies, and a nice card that someone had made! Of course then everyone around our dept was coming by for food and asking the occasion and then congratulating me. I was SO surprised LOL

Nancy I looked up the book you mentioned... I admit I can't "do" the fantasy thing LOL. But I sure can relate about the reading!

Kayley, hang in there! That scale will start moving again. Ammi might have to get after that FFM again!

Melissa, glad you posted the photos... I will head right over there to take a look!
