can i join in. I took my dog on a 2 mile hike/run today in the battlefield near my house. She loves her hikes.

cheryl - i have a suggestion for your dog that pulls...there a great harness out there call the Easy walk by Premier. My dog's only vice is pulling..once i got that...she doesn't pull anymore. The leash attached to the chest and if they pull it throws them off balance. its a training device recommended by many behavioral veterinarians...i highly recommend it to all my clients...here's a website for it.

I think this would be a good one for me.... my poor little girls never go for a walk.

Because I am not used to walk them and it rains here A LOT this time of year my goal for right now is one day a week for at least 15 min. I know that doesn't sound like much but I will work my way up! lol

Gatorgal, thanks for the suggestion on the no-pull harness.

I figured this challenge was a no-go, since I hadn't heard from anyone in a few days, but if you all are interested, I'd be glad for the company!

Okay, took Grace for a quick run with the scooter today, 2 miles. Beorn did some weight pull practice in the yard, then I took both for a walk around the neighborhood, about 3/4 mile.

Angie and I took our two golden retrievers to Starbucks this morning and through bunny poo park....3.5 miles.

Then we took them with us to pick up our chips and shirts for our 5K on Sunday...another 1.5 miles.

EZ, thanks for joining in. My dog Beorn would like to know where this bunny poo park is, so he can visit.

Gatorgal, your hike sounds great. You must live right on the mountain...?

The weather here has been very wet and blustery, but today we got some sunflakes, and got 2 dry miles in! Just walking today, but it seemed to do the trick. Dogs are napping.

Hey Cheryl ~ Bunny poo park is about a mile from my house here in southern California!

No bunnies in Tacoma? I have been to Sequim....I have a friend there...and Seattle...sister in law used to live there...and Angie and I built a house in Kennewick a couple of years ago...never been to Tacoma!

I didn't take the dogs out this afternoon...and they are MAD!!...I am too sore from yesterday's 5K.

Plenty of bunnies, actually, but they are usually in other peoples' yards, and mean old Cheryl won't let him go investigate.
