Default enough calories?

I'm following the Dr Phil Ultimate Weight Solutions plan because I'm not a big fan of "diets". I am breastfeeding my son who is 13 months old. Yesterday I ate as the plan showed and I was really full, not hungry at all in between meals. I plugged everything into fitday and I only got just over 1200 calories. I'm 5'7, 179 lbs and like I said, breastfeeding my son (about 5 times during the day and 3 times at night). I felt fine and haven't noticed a decrease in supply at all.

At 13 months, if he is taking in a lot of other food-you should be fine. For babies who are younger, where they rely mainly on breastmilk-more calories are needed-1800+.

lol, I might be the only woman on the planet who was grateful that my supply dipped the first week I "dieted" ( I aim for 2000-2100 cals/day but I am very active as well). It came right back after a week or so as I adjusted to the new calorie level, but whew.

I had so much milk he was becoming a lazy nurser and stopping when the easy milk was done and not getting the fatty milk. Wanted to eat all the time and had horrible grass green diaper-rash causing poops.

One week of lower supply retrained him on how to draw more milk out and it was such a relief.

1200 calories seems kind of low to me even if you arent nursing. It doesnt give you much room to move if weightloss stalls.
