congrats Gale! Your boys will be best buds!

Welcome Nikki! I hear ya on the "top belly" situation. I think because my uterus is swollen enough now it makes my chub sit up higher instead of lying low like usual.

I'm having the constant nausea still. Scared my hubby by wanting taco bell and ice cream tonight. He was horrified I'm going to backslide in my healthy eating/exercising and go nuts like I have during previous pregnancies.

I hope not! I'm still calorie counting everything and just needed a cheat night.

Well it wasn't pretty after I added it all up. 2600 cal day when I laid in bed most of it. Hitting the gym for my exercise class tomorrow even with the m/s.

Congrats gale! It almost seems like we're all having boys!

Congrats Nikki! I didn't show till 24 weeks!

I'm a part of a moms group and everyone's (8 preggo moms) having boys. must be something in the water. LOL

**had to correct this, there's 8 of us in the group that are pregnant. :)

CoolMom75 04-27-2010 11:44 PM

I hope not! I'm hoping this time will be girl. I'll get over it though if it's a fourth boy. Hehe

mom4life 04-28-2010 07:28 AM

I was so hoping for a girl. I even had the full name picked out didn't even think about choosing a boys name. So when we went for the U/S, I told the tech not to tell us till the end but he did a quick scan and I saw it but hoped it was something else. Then at the end he went back to that shot and asked dh what it looked like and I knew I was right. LOL
Its our last and he'll be 1 1/2 yrs younger then our #4 so that will be nice. I just wanted another girl for my dd2 who's 3 and who will be the only girl (my oldest dd1 is 20 yo), no matter what I'm excited. I thought of trying again for another girl but I'd rather stop and just enjoy my kids. :)

I'm going with a midwife/homebirth this time and not sure I'll even have an u/s. That would make it easier to wait for a surprise. I'd like to be surprised at least one birth. I think it will be kinda fun to have check after the baby is born.

mom4life 04-28-2010 07:34 PM

I'm using the same midwife I used with my last pregnancy. Since we don't have midwives in my area I have to birth at her birth center. She does homebirths just not for my area.

Share the boy dust, ladies! My ultrasound is in a week and a half or so, and we really would like a son to add to our family, after two daughters. I am hopeful but everyone else seems to think we're having a girl. Oh well. I'll be happy regardless, as we'll have many more babies besides these three if we have our way, but I'd still like to get all the pressure off my back for a boy and be able to not stress about it for future pregnancies.

I am doing well so far, up about four pounds for the whole pregnancy now, at 17.5 weeks or so. I feel pretty good too, the only rhino I am struggling with is back pain and my chiropractor is helping with that.

I've been fine on calories but slacking on my exercise, I'm planning a walk this afternoon whether I feel like it or not!

That's a bummer! I didn't think I had any in my area but word-of-mouth got me a couple names. They both come from an hour south of me but one, who probably doesn't have an office, has all visits in the home. I'm going with her!

2 weeks left! I'm getting really nervous now. I have so much to get done, it isn't even funny. :(

How exciting! It's right around the corner :)

Arctic Mama- sending some boy dust your way. :)
CoolMom75- well actually we do have a midwife in town but she doesn't take insurance yet. The midwife I have is 100% covered by my insurance. It's great to see insurance companies cover actual birth centers. There are a couple "Midwives" in network that when I got more info from them they delivered out of a hospital and were pretty much OBGYN's with a midwife title. doesn't at all mean they're with you through the whole process like my midwife is.

Hi CoolMom~ Yep it's me. We live in NM now though. Hopefully, we are done hopping across the country for awhile!

We are waiting till birth to find out the gender too. We are birthing with a midwife at the local women's hospital, but we don't want to find out. So, it'll be a nice surprise. I don't care about the gender, I'm just happy for a baby. Although, my "gut" says boy. We'll see if I'm right.

Got my NT scan tomorrow very last minute...
Have put on 6lbs..but its mostly my bump as everything else is more or less the same..ho hum...looks like im gonna have a big belly..
We will be finding out as soon as we can but isnt it funny cus we keep referring to it as a 'him' will be interesting to see if we are right...
