Tums usually take care of a lot of it for me, but when it doesn't I have to sleep angled upward. Lots of pillows under my top half keep in under a little more control.

Ditto on the Tums and sleeping in a reclined position. Thank Goodness I haven't had much of a struggle with this as with my other pregnancies but it does work.

I found that all my hearburn/acid reflux stopped when I stopped drinking milk. I could still eat many dairy products, but no more plain milk. I guess at a certain age, lactose intolerance can kick in. (I also found that all gassyness ended when I stopped eating onions) -- me no onions or milk = no hearburn or gas. If you are worried about calcium, you can get that in a suppliment, and they also add it to orange juice.

I've never had heartburn (yes, never.) I realize that pregnancy may change that.

I've heard from a lot of different people that pineapple juice helped them a lot. Maybe it's worth a shot?
