I'm struggling so much lately.. esp with the whole Halloween thing. We ended up getting rain so we took the kids to Walmart and got them some candy and a pizza and had our own Halloween "party"..they enjoyed it a lot.

I really would love to see Onderland by New Years, but with the way I have been struggling lately I don't know if I will or not.

You can do it!!! We are right around the same weight and I'm hoping to see Onderland by Christmas... That would be a great Christmas present to myself!! I have a problem of eating when I'm bored... so what I have done is made little sticky note signs on our fridge and pantry that says "Eat for the body you want not the body you have" I saw it on someone's signature on here and it really hit the "inspriation spot"... Now whenever I go to the pantry to snack on something unhealthy I see that stupid sticky note and think... is this going to get me closer to 135lbs or closer to 227lbs where I started??!!? I have also made myself the deal where if I do want a snack I have to eat a serving of fruit, drink a whole bottle of water, then wait 15 min and if i'm still hungry then I will allow myself to have the snack (needless to say I've never wanted the snack lol We should really work together to help encourage each other!!! Let me know how things are going and any tips/tricks that help you!

Hey everyone!

Welcome Lina!

I was off my game for a bit last month but I'm back on track again and down another five pounds. Woo!! DH is fully back in to eating healthy again so we're sort of feeding off of each other in our healthy choices. We did our big grocery trip the other day and we've now got tons of health foods in our fridge and pantry. Other than the kids' Halloween candy, we don't have any crap food in the house, and I've been doing not too badly with the candy.

Hello Lina and welcome!!

You know I got started on this site by looking through the Goal albums and getting really encouraged... but now I'm getting really discouraged looking through them.. There are girls that have the same height and starting stats as me but have lost a LOT more in the same amount of time (a couple even less time) :-( Now I'm really frusterated and really discouraged... I don't get it... I kinda just want to give up nursing so I can drop those extra 300 calories a day :-(

Help Ladies!!

I know what you mean, BrittniMarie. As much as I love breastfeeding, I feel it hinders my weight loss quite a bit. Everyone always says that breastfeeding makes you lose weight, I think it's a load of bull. My body just is wanting to hold on the to extra pounds.

On the other hand, I've been working my butt off and it's paying off! I jumped on the scale today and it read 157! I'm so damn excited. Seeing the loss encourages me so much. Someone could put a candy bar right in front of me and I feel as if I could truly resist!

I really hope everyone is doing good this month!

Hi all. I've been nursing for the past 14 months and find it really hard to diet while doing it. So I'm hoping this time I can really stick to it and lose.

My movement coach/personal trainer challenged me in October to think about what I wanted to achieve and be grateful for by Thanksgiving. I'm working on a mini goal of getting under 300 pounds by then. I weigh in later today, 2pm Pacific, and then again on November 17 & 24, 2009.

I actually need to get down to 297 to succeed because of the 2.5 pounds of work out clothing. Today I'm at 302.6 pounds, so I have 5.6 pounds to lose in 2 weeks. We'll see, even if I don't make my date, I won't quit till I make my goal. Just one more on the road to health.

Meanwhile, daughter is 4 yo and the breastfeeding continues. She swears she won't wean until she's 6. Would someone tell me what nature special she got that age from? lol

This week has been interesting for me so far... My 9.5 month old seems to be on a nursing strike because she wants nothing to do with it... Hopefully this little strike will end soon because I'm afraid I'm gonna lose my supply!! Anyone else experience this around this age?

Delivery weight = #231.6
Current weight = #220.2
First goal to get to ONDERLAND by the New Year!

I just started working out again (yesterday) and counting calories. I've done this before.. my all time high weight was #241 - and I had gotten down tothe #180's by last October (wedding) I CAN do this!!!!

I'm just glad that you girls are here for support. doing this while being a mom is tough, but while trying to figure out your schedule w/ a nursing baby's is even tougher!!!

Fawn I'm right there with you! my goal is to see Onderland again by the New Year! We can do it hon!!!

Hi mamas! I never seem to make it here lately. I honestly haven't been very focused on my eating and though I haven't gained, I haven't lost anything this month either.

Our life is crazy right now, getting ready to move, not sure exactly when it will happen, hoping it happens soon, but thinking it will be mid Dec.. so on top of Christmas (and being depressed that I can't decorate for it until we are moved.. which by then it will be almost too late I think), and my 3 Christmas kiddos' birthdays (the 20th, 28th and 29th) we will have to fit a move in there too!

Need to get back in control, but right now I feel I have no control over anything..lol. The baby is now 6 months and is crawling and eating 3 solid meals a days. He still is nursing 5-6 times a day as well.

Ok.. have to get off of here and back to work, have to make homemade applesauce with the kids for Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a great holiday!
