Hi everyone. I'm new here.

My yds is 14 months old and still nursing. Actually, between my two boys I've been continuously nursing for the last 3-1/2 years. LOL. No sign of the little one stopping anytime soon.

I am a calorie counter and am wondering if anyone has info on how many calories I need to account for nursing. I know that it's always quoted as 300-500 per day, but those figures are based on much younger nurslings. I figure that my boy is getting about 10-15 oz a day, depending on how much regular food he has consumed.

Any guidance or help is much appreciated. Thanks!

hi SaySumthing,

There's a sticky at the top of this forum that answers that very question! I think it's titled "How many calories should I eat while breastfeeding" or something similar to that.

Welcome to 3FC and the preggo/nursing forum, I hope to see you around!
