Any one trying to lose weight so they can get pregnant?
I was told that I needed to lose some weight to first help with the diabetes and also to get my body on track for pregnancy. I just didn't know if there was a thread out there for woman that were tyring to get pregnant.
i was losing weight to get to a healthier weight for pregnancy, but i got pregnant while losing weight! so i had to put weight loss on hold. i'm starting about 20lbs heavier than i would have liked, but my doctor is okay with it.
I am with you! I want to be healthy and be able to have babies. That is why I am doing this. I don't want to feel like I won't be able to do certain things with my children and I don't want them to develop the habits I did as a child.
I was flirting with the idea of weight loss when I got pregnant. I wish I had gotten pregnant when I was a healthier weight and had taught myself better habits. I'm with WormwoodDoll, I really don't want to pass my unhealthiness onto my daughter.
Me! I really would like to lose more before becoming pregnant. However, we aren't going to be preventing any longer. So whatever happens, happens. For now though I'm going to keep eating healthy and exercising. For me it isn't just about losing weight, it's about getting rid of fat and getting stronger. So that is what I am trying to do. I lose weight VERY VERY slowly. But I have making some progress.

I'm doing the same thing, losing weight so that I can be safer having children. But at the same time I did stop taking my BC pill mostly because it was causing weight gain, I think I peaked at 340 and got down to 328 just from going off that pill. If we get pregnant tomorrow I'll be happy, but I'm not actively trying either

I definitely want my body to be as healthy and as strong as I can before I get pregnant.
We are hoping to start trying later this year, although it has not been decided when the "right" time will be yet.
I am not on the pill anymore but we are still being cautious.

I'm losing weight in hopes of having another one in about 2 years or so. (Our little guy is only 3 months old, we'd like 18-24 months[ish] in between kids.) I want to be down to 175 before we start trying again. Last time it only took 7 weeks to get pregnant, so I'm not going to go off the pill until we are ready!
I did for while. Then it got higher and higher. Now I'm just going to see what happens. I would love it if I could be at 22-24%bf but I'm obviously not waiting for that to happen.
