Hahaha I wish I had THAT salad problem. The thought of salad, for weeks, made me gag. I couldn't even look at veggies without feeling like I was going to vomit! I finally got to start eating veggies again a few days ago.

Well I got to go to my doctor's appointment yesterday (instead of the 28th.. woot!) and it went very well. BP, pulse.. ect is normal. They did a very early testing of diabetes since it runs strong on my dad's side. I also had an ultrasound.. I got to see the baby breathing in the fluid and could hear the heart beat.. so amazing!! Also found out I'm just now 14 weeks instead of 16 weeks. Told me to come back at 22 weeks and I'll find out the sex of the baby^^. Also got a doc's appoinment on Nov 13th in the morning! She said she doesn't want me to gain weight (gaining 12-15lbs is okay but doesn't want me to shoot for it) . She doesn't want me drinking any calories.. no milk, no juice.. no nothing. So no cereal in the morning she says meh oh well.. can still have oatmeal with water if it really comes down to it!

Hi ladies...

I hope all is well with everyone. Work has been crazy busy and trying to train someone to handle my responsiblity is making me crazy. I am not afraid to admit it...I am a bit of a control freak. Especially when it comes to my area at work and they girl they have me training is harldy competant. Just doesn't seem to care since she will only be doing it for 8 weeks. I am already having anxiety about it, but I am trying to let that go - stay calm and relax.

I am so excited...looked at my ticker and I am under the triple digits to go, only 99 days.

modkitten - I feel you on trying to think of names. We decided not to find out what we are having so we are trying to think of both a boys and girls name and we are having no luck - can't seem to agree on anything yet. I am hoping that when we hear the names we will just know.

pixie - wow, your doctor is strict, no cereal...I don't think I could do it. She doesn't want you to gain ANY weight??? Mine told me to shoot for no more than 15lbs. I gained 13 with my son and 11 with my daughter. So far this one I have only gained 5 total, but I lost the first 4 months with all of my kids. Good luck on that one...it seems that you would need to gain something...at least whatever the baby weighs, but I guess that is why they have the medical degree and we don't, lol.

altari - welcome and congrats!

zeffryn - I thought about taking a breast-feeding refresher course also, but wasn't sure if it would be a waste of time. I nursed both my other kids for 10 months, but it has been 8 years and so I thought it might be a good idea. Let me know what you think once you take it.

I better get back to work - take care momma's!

lovinlife - There are a few offered in our area. Some at the hospital and some at the local La Leche branch office. I'm thinking about taking one with La Leche instead of the hospital. When I took one at the hospital with my first, there were SO many people in the class it was hard to really ask any questions.

La Leche limits the class to 5 couples.

I have a doctor's appt. next Monday. DH is teaching that morning, so I guess I'll have to ask MIL if she'll watch DS. After the last few times of having to wait for hours, I've learned my lesson on taking him.

lovinlifex2 - haha for real. I still drink a little calories. I have my water but I also have a little juice. So far no milk but my family was shocked to hear she said no milk. Since the baby needs calcium and everything. So far so good though. I'm down another 1/2 a pound. I'm a little concerned about the weight loss.. even though I'm just now 4 months and my appetite will probably grow. I eat good when I'm hungry. *shrugs*

*continues to eat her applesauce* yummm

Just wondering if I could jump in. Found out last Monday I was pregnant when I realize TOM was MIA and my boobs were super sore. My kids are 6 & 7 so it's been a while since I've been pregnant. It's all new to me again lol

Hi ladies...I hope that everyone is well and feeling good. Work is crazy and the kis are trying to adjust to the fall weather we are having. Since they haven't been able to get out as much they tend do be a little more cranky.

pixiefalls - I wouldn't worry to much about the weight loss. I lost weight the first few months and they didn't seem too concerned.

8wk -2 lbs
12wk - +1
16wk -1
20wk +6
24wk +1

Not sure what happened week 20, but my midwife said that the baby usually has a pretty big growth spurt between 18-25 weeks so they usually see a considerable gain around that time...just to prepare you, lol. I am sure you will be fine and as long as you are eating sensibly I am sure your weight will stay in check.

julie99s - welcome and congratulations! I also have two kids, a son who is 10 and a daughter who is almost 8, so it has been a while in between for me to. There are things I don't remember from last time or that has changed, but most of it will come back to you. Good luck!

Everyone take care - ttfn.

Your prenatal probably has enough calcium. You can also get calcium from other sources than milk; dark greens (kale, spinach, mustard greens, etc.), beans (black, adzuki, kidney, etc.), cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc.

Julie - Welcome!

Doctor's appointment Monday - not looking forward to the lashing that I'm going to get for not being there recently. Baby is getting big, weight is staying the same, blood pressure GREAT despite moving and lots of extended family drama.

Hi All,

Just a quick check in from me, it's been a while since I've been here. I'm 34 weeks as of yesterday and have developed some complications. My blood pressure skyrocketed 2 weeks ago and they are trying to keep it from developing into preeclampsia. So, I'm on complete bedrest for the rest of my pregnancy, which the Dr says will only be another 2-3 weeks max. For now, I'm fine and the baby is fine, but we're keeping a very close eye on things.

Although bedrest is no fun, I'm grateful that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the baby. He's healthy and growing the way he should... I have nothing real to complain about!

I just wanted to check in and say "hello" and let you all know that I'm here, albeit laying down all of the time.

Gale - Are you on bedrest at home or bedrest at the hospital?

I'm at home. Bedrest with bathroom and eating privileges only. Oh, and my Dr said I can go vote.

Well ladies, I am feeling great! My nausea has passed (for the most part). I had another ultrasound last Tuesday. Here's a pic:

Gale - So sorry about the bedrest! What have you been doing to pass the time?
