Thought I would update on my friend since it's been a couple of months. She went to the dr and got on a pill that made her start about a week after she took it. She went back to the dr and everything was looking good like she would get prego. The doctor said that she should naturally start the next time and she didn't so she thought she was prego. Went to the doctor and she wasn't. So the doctor put her on another round of the pills and the same thing happened again. She really thought she was prego because she started getting sick in the morning and went to the dr and nada. So round 3 of pills and she started again like normal. Then out of the blue her boyfriend breaks up with her. She's Very upset about it because they dated for 2 years and only 2 days later he was already with another girl. So I'm trying to help her with that. And now she wants to lose weight so I'm trying to help her with that but she's starving herself. I keep trying to tell her she needs to eat but being depressed doesn't help. And then she said she's going to fast. I tried to talk to her and get her to try something else because she's tried that before and she gained the weight back real quick. But I keep telling her that she didn't get prego for a reason and this was the reason. I'm a single mom and I didn't want that for her. Maybe this will get him to grow up and be the father he needs to be if they do get back together. But all in all she's strong and she will get through this and in due time I know she will find the right guy and have the family she wants and deserves. She did say that she isn't going to go back to the dr since they did break up. Any thoughts on if she should continue to go back? Or should she just stop all in all?

I would not see the doc to get pregnant at this point since the father is out of the picture.

I would see a doc for her continued PCOS care and management though. There's more to the condition than just having a harder time makin' babies.

GL!

Default PCOS Treatment is important

Hi there. I am 45 and have 2 beautiful children but my GP insisted I went to a gynae specialist PCOS can put you at risks of other things. The gynae was very supportive and said that even if you don't want more babies it is important to have a minumum of 2 periods a year to avoid some of the complications.
Good luck with it all.
