Default Hormones are out of control!

I have lost about 35 lbs, 20 of those since joining 3FC.
My PCP put me on a high hormone birth control when I was at my highest weight as my hormones were out of whack.
The difference the weight loss has had on my body has been incredible. Lower resting heart rate. Lower blood pressure. I no longer feel any effects of being pre diabetic. But one thing I have noticed in the last month or so is that I am MOODY as ****. It occurred to me last night that maybe my hormones are returning to a normal level and I am over doing it with the birth control?

Have any of my fellow PCOSer's had this happen to them? I don't have insurance anymore so I can't really afford to go in and have my blood work done. I just feel so sorry for my boyfriend as I've been so grumpy. I don't like being so moody.

Lucyford, I take hormones and I have noticed in the last two weeks that my body is changing and my hormones are not helping me as much as they use to. So, I talked to my doctor, told them I have lost some weight and they wanted to know if I lost body fat and I told them yes, I have also lost inches.

They changed my dose of creams, he told me my body is changing any they re wrote my script, now I am hoping to get back to feeling good in that department.

So, to answer you question, I think that yes your needs are going to change because weight and body fat controls alot to do with hormone levels in our bodies.

Good luck, and congrats on you sucess so far. yeah!

Hi,

It's not directly related to the hormones you are talking about but I take thyroxine. From my heaviest weight (around 290lbs) to now (around 246ish) I have reduced the amount from 225mcg to 150mcg - so over a 25% drop in medication.

I'm guessing that you probably are on too high a dosage of your meds now you are getting some weight off (well done by the way!). Could you ring your healthcare provider just for advice?

Hx
