Just popping in to say hello:) I am doing great this week. I have been following a new lifestyle of low sugar, high protein and complex carbs diet. Walking daily and driking lots of water. I am noticing a huge difference in my anxiety and depression related to sugar. I feel so much better. I have not been drinking coffee either! Just Yerba Mate tea. This last week would have been my cycle and it feels strange to know I will never have one again since my hyterectomy on Jan 20th. Been reading the book "What your doctor may not tell you about Premenopause" I highly reccommend it. It has much info in it that helps with hormonal issues related to PCOS. Hope you all have a wonderful week!

No cramps for me. I think it's because I'm eating a lot healthier and not on BCP. But, to be honest, I've never had a problem with my period (never too heavy or too long or headaches or cramps).
I'm settling back into the routine. Lots of work at work, which have me crazy, but it's not too bad because I don't get bored-hungry (I get bored-hungry a lot!). Exercise tonight and scheduled in for the rest of the week. |
Interesting. I never had the needle-like prickly cramps until after DD was born.
Had a rough day today -- I think I'm getting child's cold and on top of it her pet mouse died so I have a sad, grieving child on my hands. Trying to comfort her suspended all other afternoon/evening activities. Hopefully will be back on track tomorrow after I bury it. Sigh. A. |
Haha seems like it's that TOM for the whole board! Cramps are the worst, but I'm kind of happy to have them (means that things are getting back to normal).
Is anyone else having some serious carb cravings since it's winter and there's not as much sun? I have seasonal depression, and it's totally messing with my diet plans. |
hey astrophe? i just read your question from the other day? did u have a c-section? perhaps what youre feeling is scar tissue? just a random thought

drummergrrrl: Me! I just got over TOM and then I had all these bread cravings. I have to cut it out because I think I'm wheat sensitive. I get all snotty after eating bread.
Chou: Actually I did! I had an emergency C-sect. I didn't even think of that but maybe that is why I sometimes have those prickly feelings cramps. I'm off to do a workout. Not sure what, but I'm gonna go do it! Then I'll check back. A. :) ETA: Did it! Decided to pull out an old fav -- Kim Lyons Sit Down and Shape Up I wanted to do a purple but it's not in the box so went with a green. |
I have caught a cold or something. Bah.
Oh, well, doing my best to roll with it. A. |
Thanks babble i hope they sort it out soon im getting fed up. If i dont hear off the gyne consultant by the first week of march i have to ring the doctor xxx

ems81wales: don't blame you one bit for feeling fed up! Try your best, ok?
Me: I'm still sick and now I have no voice to boot. Ugh. A. |
I'm sorry you are sick again, astrophe.
I'm doing okay. I'm down to 167.8-167.6. I know that if I hadn't had my guest last week, I could be even lower today but I am trying to not focus on that. I'm also a little low energy. Stress at work is really strong right now and I need to find ways to handle it better. I'm terrible about stress. |
I hope your better soon astrophe
Rana well done on the loss i lost 2.5lbs tonight woohooo xxx |
Names Ashley Im pretty new to this I was just diagnosed with POCS today but have just been told it is the cause of my infertility, weight issues, painful periods, and long irregular cycles. Its a shock to learn all of this and upsetting but I am very greatful to find you ladies

Okay, now I have time for a proper update.
Congratulations on 2 lbs loss, Em81! Thanks beerb! I hope you're feeling better today, astrophe! I'm happy the scale is going down, I'm losing like a couple lbs every month and I know it's hard-earned but at least the scale is going down, even if it plateaus for a while. It's a lot steadier weight loss than last year, where I was stuck around 179-182 for 6 months, then I started gaining! Of course, it was all PCOS management (or lack there of!) related. I'm so happy I decided to take the bull by the horns and start taking my supplements to balance my blood sugar. Exercise and diet were not doing it for me, alone. I'm also still overwhelmed with work. Even though we have a long weekend because of Presidents' Day, I think I'll still be working because there is so much I just haven't finished. I leave work "on time" so I can make my exercise classes so I don't stay late to finish either. (I decided a long time ago that I need to make my health a priority!!!!) |
