Thank you Astrophe. :) Yea when she said that I looked at her with this puzzled look and then she said everyone there is an expert at PCOS. Really? Ok well doesnt sound like you are. But no, she is not my regular doctor she was just someone they had me go to at a last minute appointment I made when I was not feeling well. I need to make an appointment with my new doctor since the old one left. *sigh*

On a good note, I am down 5lbs. So excited. Eating less but healthier and keeping active actually works LOL

Writing a quick note from work. Trying to log on here as often as I can but my phone is crappy now and my mom is always on the home computer. So, I am around just cannot log in as often as I would like.

I will check in later :)

You know, my hair was getting REALLY thin there for a moment that my mom said she could see my scalp. UGH! But then I dont even know what I did and it started growing back. My hair is not at full as it was back in highschool but my mom said she can see a big difference.

Facial hair, right now I shave it. I want to lose weight and see if it will possibly go away or just be less. If not then start looking into places to have it taken off. I also use even better foundation by clinique. Oh I love it. it covers up the dark patches very well.

There is nothing more embarrassing than not being able to fit in a ride when I am off trying to enjoy my self with family and friends. I have been too fat to ride in the past and I don't think I have ever been more embarrassed in my whole life! This article gives me hope :) Now I truely believe if I continue doing what I am supposed to then I will be able to ride almost all the rides :) Thanks a million

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I have not been to the local amusement park for this very same reason. I went to Disneyland this past may and asked my friend who is about the same size as me [my best friend so I ask her everything] if I would fit and she said yes. I really didnt want to go but she was right. I just wish ALL amusement parks would make their rides a bit bigger. It would be nice.

My rant of the week: The more I go to the gym the more addicted to exercise I become. However, there are some days you just wish you had not shown up. My friend and I have been going to the gym together, and she I a feather weight. Sometimes it's s hard to keep going on with your exercise and diet when you know the person next to you consumes pizzas, candy, ice cream, and starches and walks only 1 mile here and there and yet she is in great physical shape! Bleh! Just a bit jealous here, but I'll live.

My good news is that my hard work is starting to show a little. I can't wait to get one of those weightloss thingys on my post showing what I have accomplished! I have lost a pound this week after doing 40-60 of cardio a day and eating a very restricted calorie diet. Yay! One day, hopefully in the not so distant future, I will be that skinny girl, but without the eating of a whole pizza. Speaking of pizza.... I'm hungry. Woo hoo for a celery stick!

I wish they were bigger too :) But so far it has been a great motivation to get up every morning and work out. I think in the future the architects and engineers will make the rides for larger people because of the growing number of obese ppl in America. It would be nice if us bigger gals and guys could go out and have fun with our pals without worrying about the embarrassment. Glad to here you could fit. It's nice to hear the reassuring words from a couple of ppl. Thanks :D

Checking in to wish everyone a dedicated week!! No exercise for me today due to rain-out *sigh* I'm gonna have to try to push myself to do something indoors...mini-trampoline anyone? lol

I started my period this morning! Hopefully my fellow PCOS Chicks will understand why that's a really big deal! ;) I haven't had one in...well, quite a long time. And this is the first time EVER that I've started on my own without medication. Weight loss and exercise really does work!

astrophe 08-17-2010 08:53 AM

WTG, Rochester!

I'm running around getting ready for meetings.. been really busy lately. But I promised myself to at least say hi to the gals today.

HI!!!!! :)

I'll check back in later tonight before bed with a recap. Mostly I'm doing fine, just trying to get rid of that last pound to my first -10 goal. Then I can do that 9 more times and be done. Piece of cake, right? ;)

hugs,
A.

Rochester! Awesome!! Doesn't it actually feel great when your body functions?? Happy for you -

Hello all....wow the week is gone. Happy Friday! I was good about moving every day this week at different levels of intensity. i walked about 2 miles today. maybe I'll ride or run later, idk. Weight is stable and mood is stable, :-D
Let the weekend commence!

astrophe 08-21-2010 12:06 AM

I'm hanging in there.. work project taking up all my time... be back once it is all over.

Good morning everyone! Well unfortunately this week I came to the conclusion that I probably will not loose my goal of 60lbs by Christmas, putting me at 225lbs which I have not seen since I was in high school and my first year of undergrad. However :D I did lose almost 3lbs since the last time I weighed myself! YAY! Off to the gym with me. Hope you all have had a wonderful week.

Congratulations!!! I know it kinda sucks to miss your goals, but it sounds like 60 lbs by Christmas might have been a bit on the unrealistic side. Just don't let it defeat you...you are making progress!! :-)

I've moved into Phase 1.5 of South Beach now, and things seem to be going well. Last night I got a bit crazy. I went to the gym and did my usual 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes on the treadmill, but then decided to stick around for an aerobics class. 20 minutes of latin dance, 20 minutes of kickboxing and 20 minutes of step! When I left the gym the only thing I could think was "Remind me again why I thought this was a good idea? I'm not going to be able to move in the morning!!" Luckily my legs aren't as sore this morning as I thought they would be. :)

Hello ladies .. hope the weekend is going well.
I've had a horrible weekend .. the mood swings were insane. Even my poor patient husband had it with me! :(
is there anything I can do to normalise moods and not be so erratic. My period isnt due for 2 weeks +
any view / insight will be immensely helpful

chouchoubou 08-22-2010 03:06 PM

I am up in weight and very pissed about it. *SIGH*
