Question Clomid and Exercise

We are trying to get pregnant and since I have PCOS and am not able to ovulate on my own, my doctor prescribed me clomid 50 mg dose.

Today is my day 11 (since my first day of period). If this dose of clomid does work for me I shall be ovulating anywhere from day 10th to day 18th.

Now I am also trying to lose some weight and am confused if I should exercise for these days or not. I tried researching online but got conflicting information. My normal exercise routine consists of running 30 mins on Mon, Wed and Friday. I do 'No more trouble zones' by Jillian Michaels on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Since I have read that the chances of miscarriage is high in women with PCOS, I am bit worried if my exercise routine may increase the risk. I just did Walk away the pounds express (4 miles) today, but I want to do some vigorous exercise. What are your opinions regarding this situation.

I am day 18 of my first clomid cycle for #2!

I did clomid to conceive ds. I was working out very hard at the time, lifting heavy & at the gym most days of the week. I conceived the first cycle.

I think there is a lot of false info out there about exercise & pregnancy - I found that very frustrating. Exercise is good but now is probably not the best time to introduce something new that is really challenging.

My Doc said, if it is something that you have been doing already and is normal routine for you, keep doing it. Do not try adding in any vigorous exercise. Keep doing your norm until you are pregnant and then ask you OBGYN what is safe for you and your pregnancy.

We went to a seminar where a bunch of RE's gave various talks about TTC. This came up as a topic, and they said in a study women that exercised for more then 4 hours a week, had a less % of getting pg. This was done in an IVF study, but they said same thing is true for women in general. Too much exercise can really mess up the ovulation cycle. So I would say don't go to much over that if you are working out that much.
Also, if you ever get to the point where you are doing injectible drugs, you can't do anything that will "make your ponytail bounce around". Because you are gowing so many eggs you have the possibility of twisting your ovary and making the blood supply be cut off.
Don't worry about it too much though. Clomid is usually pretty safe for working out. Just wanted to give you more info, because I know I like having as much info as I can.
