I'm fairly new to this forum and have been struggling with my weight for a long time. I recently went to the doctor because I have felt so crappy and she diagnosed me with hypo-active thyroid and PCOS. She prescribed me Metformin 500 mg three times a day (not the ER form). I have tried taking it but it makes me so darn sick. I usually give up after the first day or so of the vomiting and diarrhea. I also have all of the lovely symptoms of PCOS I've been fighting with...tired all of the time, excess hair growth (the worse symptom in my opinion
) and so forth.
I'm hoping to use this part of the forum to keep me motivated to take my medicine and hopefully some day I won't need it any more when I lose my excess weight!
