Default acne?

...and I thought high school was behind me. Whats the deal? I had acne on my forehead as a teenager but it eventually went away. Im 27, wash my face with neutrogena cream cleanser twice a day, use retin-A at night, and I'm breaking out bad again! mostly by my eyebrows and forehead. I also am constantly wiping my face. maybe my hormones are out of wack? anyone else out there? what do you do?

Annoying, isn't it? I had some (not as much as some, but a definite increase over my "normal" amount), but it was SIGNIFICANTLY reduced when the doc put me on Yaz.

Do you have PCOS? That could be the reason. Personally, my skin got very clear when I started taking birth control (Yasmin).

The joys of PCOS.

I chose the no birth control option, since DH has been neutered. Personally I use AcneFree Severe acne kit. It not only has cleared up my skin, but the overnight lotion with retinol has really reduced the laugh lines on my forehead.

I use proactive and it really works well for me, its the only thing that i have found that does. although now i am all broken out because it can be a bit pricey and right now i cant afford it. But you might want to give it a try.

isn't spiro supposed to help?

does proactiv really work? there are so many damn commercials for it and it almost seems too good to be true. i generally don't have a huge acne problem but they said it can help your skin in general. lately my skin has become blotchy and patchy and just not so great. do you think proactiv would help?

It really works for me......I'm 33 w/ worse acne than I've ever had. It does improve the overall tone of your skin.

But you have to use it religiously, if you skip treatments your skin flares up worse than ever.

I did notice relults pretty much immediately. Plus it's not harsh & smells good.

I'm a fan

I was just diagnosed with PCOS and its only the last few months that my acne has gotten worse. I find that nothing helped until I was put on the pill, now everything is clearing up.
