Packaged Meals and Clinics - Nutrisystem, Medifast, Jenny Craig, EtcFor support and questions about diet meal delivery programs, or weight loss clinics that offer prepackaged meals and products.
I love the muffins. Wish I could find the frozen stuff at Walmart. I bought one of the boxes and there was too much stuff I didn't like in the shelf stable food. I love the diet program though. If I have to I will try to substitute some of the meals with Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones.
I too wish they had message boards but I love 3FC so we can all talk here.
Anyone still doing Nutrisystem? I just started today and would love some recipes anyone has tried to add in veggies and things to jazz up the prepackaged meals.
I'm 2 days in to my 4th week of Nutrisystem, and I've lost 12lbs so far. I've liked most of the food I've had. I also get a 12% discount through my health insurance, so anyone who is thinking of joining should look into that. I am really happy with how easy this is. It's really the only thing that consistently works for me. I did it once before, about 7 or 8 years ago and lost 20lbs. Of course I found them all again, but I plan on sticking with it this time. 😊
Placed my order for Nutriystem this morning. I am heading toward 300 lbs and I remember vowing I would never get near 200. Portion control is my biggest problem so I am optimistic.
So glad I found 3FC.
Been doing Nutrisystem for a bit over sixty days...only cheated three times. My weight loss has been slow, but I'm exercising more now and being patient. Maybe I'm eating too many veggies.
Have a lovely day!
Long time lurker, but love 3FC, always such a boost of inspiration! I just started Nutrisystem - this is Day 3 and so far so good with just a bit of modification. I'm supposed to start with the "Turbo Take-off" but not quite enough food for me... Even with all the water I was just sooo hungry on Day 1, I had an apple & a 100 cal bag of SkinnyPop, Day 2 an apple and one of the NS snack bars (chocolatey pretzel)... We'll see how I do today! In any case I still think I'm ok, since I'm well under 1500 cal each day, and definitely don't want body going into starvation mode. Got about 50-75 lbs to lose and feeling optimistic.
I was pleasantly surprised by the shelf-stable bean chili, which I combined with broccoli... And, really enjoyed the cinnamon streusel muffin, with coffee, for breakfast on day 1.
How's everyone else doing on NS so far?

Reason: Accuracy - didn't realize this was my first post ever! *waves*
Today is Day 5 on Nutrisystem. Have had a meal or two off plan but nothing to completely blow my calorie budget. This morning I had the frozen cinnamon roll and wow! It was really good. I was surprised how satisfied I felt after 180 calories + my black coffee (normal for me). I know I could have eaten a lot more but sticking with the system I stopped and didn't feel deprived. Body & hunger signals changing already??? Anyway I'm pleased. Sticking with it! Anyone else just starting NS and surprised by anything?
Hi, everyone. I'm restarting N/S today, I got my food from QVC but I may order direct from N/S next month.
In 2008 I lost 25 lbs. on N/S but slowly gained it back.
Does N/S still have a forum on their web site? I can't find it now; it was very active in 2008. I guess now it's all Twitter and FB and I don't like either one.
Yes, sadly, I think it is all on Facebook. I do not have a Facebook account. I was much happier when Nutrisystem had its own private forum for dieters to help motivate each other. I guess it's cheaper just to have a Facebook account for everyone to use rather than Nutrisystem paying people to monitor and keep track of their own forum for their members. That is one reason I am so glad I found three FC. I've gotten so depressed the last few days. Although, I have been getting in more exercise. Exercise has gotten much better! But today I felt really depressed, and I don't know why. Then I over ate by 700 cal today. Well, I went swimming for two hours yesterday and stayed on my Nutrisystem caloric plan just fine. Today I spent 35 minutes on the elliptical. Tonight I had a caloric blowout, so to speak. However, it's not as if I went out and ordered a good big fat greasy Dominos pizza plus a side of cookie dough
....LOL. And, thank God I have been abstinent from Dunkin' Donuts for over 80 days now. No restaurant food or restaurant pizza's either. All my cheating was done with Nutrisystem food. Considering the fact that I've noticed my lean muscle mass is changing, my clothes are smaller, and I can actually see and feel muscle increasing in my limbs. I guess maybe I'll just forgive myself for today's goof. Forgive the vent, but I've been feeling like a real loser, and not in the sense of losing weight. According to the scale, my weight loss has been slow. However I have been working to build some lean muscle mass. So, since muscle mass weighs more than fat I guess I'm doing OK. I think I am depressed because I have devoted so much mental and physical energy and time and also there is a financial investment in working to lose weight and change my habits. I wish I didn't feel so depressed. I've got to remember that I did not gain all of this fat in one day, one week, two weeks, one month, or even six months! Although, the gaining of it was seemingly effortless. I ate as much as I wanted whenever I wanted, and if I felt sick I just took antacids. Aaarrgh! When I was young, I could just go vegetarian and the pounds would drop off. Not so anymore.
Sorry for the rant.
Wishing you the best in your weight loss journey.
I am starting it tomorrow. I was going to work out today but I have a cold and it was hard to breath when I started the workout. It sucked so bad! I am doing it tomorrow and have been on alka seltzer all day which for some reason I was drowsy in church. I am approaching 300# and this has to stop!
I started Nutrisystem 18 days ago and I've lost 3#. Not much but I haven't followed it exactly some days. Evenings are the hardest for me. Trying to do better now.
They are about to ship my second shipment of food. I do have a question: Is it usual to not get enough snacks? I ran out of those several days ago and I did not cheat with them. At first I used the snack bars that were for lunch and then ran out of them and now I just prepare my own snacks and am doing fine with that. I want to learn to use my own food as much as possible anyway but I just wondered whether that was the usual...to have less snacks than lunch and dinner foods?
Most of the food is ok to good to me. When I find something I don't like, I eat it if I can or as much as I can and then remove it from my next order. I have also ordered some extra bars and shakes which I haven't yet tried except a few years ago I bought some coffee shakes from ebay to try and they were pretty good. I think having the bars and shakes will really help at times.
I haven't done very well with exercising ...didn't want to go out in the very cold weather we've been having, but It seems to be getting warmer now so won't have that excuse. One day I worked out for 10 min with a video here at home, but I need to get much better at that. Until the cold weather hit I worked out at the gym for almost an hour 3x week and I plan to get back to that and add in using my stationary bike and videos here at home. Also working on drinking all that water!
I too was looking for a forum. Will look for it on FB now, so thanks for posting that.
I want so much for this to work. I only have about 23 more pounds to lose I think...at least after I lose that, I'll reassess as to whether I need to lose more and I might but I'm older so if I lose too much I'll look terrible, have to figure out where I need to stop. I'm saggy enough already. I am naturally thin but as I had kids and aged I gained weight (was about 20# heavier than I am now), and it's mostly on my torso and esp my midriff, probably the worst place to gain and I really need to lose it. Anyway my goal weight is not much of an issue right now, I just want to see the pounds drop off!
