Hi!

My name is Laura Jane and I'm a compulsive overeater.

I began attending OA meetings 3 weeks ago, and have just made the choice to begin my abstinence today.

I am still a little overwhelmed by everything that is happening, but am amazed at the love and power I am finding at these meetings. Finally, I am not alone. There is hope again.

I'm so glad to have found an online forum for fellow OAers! I am eager to hear you stories and how things are going.

I hope you don't mind my joining your group here.

Welcome and glad you're here! It is overwhelming and amazing all at once. Hurray for your first day of abstinence. When it gets tough remember your tools...phone calls, literature, prayer, writing, meetings.
