I know I go to TOPS but I don't feel they quite understand (that sounds weird, I know), but for most of my over eating problems, I need to go to the appropriate support group. I have been in TOPS since 2003 and have only lost 38 pounds. Yes, it's 38 pounds but I'm disappointed. If it weren't for my eating disorder of over eating it might be more than 38 pounds.

I went to one or two OA meetings long ago, before I joined TOPS but then I got pregnant with my 2nd so I stopped going. During my pregnancy, I really watched what I ate really well, and so it was never a problem, but now, I'm ready to join again, because I really firmly believe that I could lose more weight and a bit faster (not so fast that I gain it all back) if it weren't for my occasional binges.

38 lbs is a lot to be proud of! If you are thinking about OA, you could always go to a few meetings before committing to anything. Check it out again and see if it fits and supports you. Going to a meeting is rejuvinating, positive, and the highlight of my day.
