Talking I feel SOOO good!

Okay, so I've been eating a lot of processed food lately and probably haven't been eating enough. I was eating one packet of Apple Crisp Quaker Oatmeal for breakfast, then a yogurt for a snack, a lean cuisine for lunch, then an apple for a snack. Before dinner I was eating a big salad, but then ate whatever my husband made for dinner without paying attention to portion sizes.
Well, I totally decided to change how I eat. I want to eat more natural foods. So, my husband and I went grocery shopping last night and spent $150!! I bought berries, apples, low fat/low calorie yogurt, tons of fresh veggies, low-fat string cheese, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat tortillas, etc.

I ate an awesome breakfast this morning and it totally filled me up besides being delicious. I scrambled one whole egg with two egg whites, let it cool and took it to work with me. While at work, I heated up the eggs with some fat free shredded cheddar cheese on top. Then I put it on top of a toasted Light Thomas' English Muffin. It was FANTASTIC!! Then for a snack, I had some cut up strawberries, rasberries and blackberries.

So, for lunch, I took romaine lettuce, green and red peppers and 99.9 % fat free turkey breast and wrapped it in a whole-wheat tortilla with some Nance's Mustard spread on it. And a yogurt if I'm still hungry. For later I brought baby carrots and celery sticks with some roasted red pepper hummous (I measured out 1.5 servings of the hummous).

I've also drank a liter of water so far today. I'm so excited about my new eating plan!! And I've realized that I can eat a lot more natural things than I could with the processed. Forget pre-packaged breakfasts and lunches!! I love this!!

That's true, the lower you go in fat and calories, the more food you can eat.

Your meals sound delicious. I'm going to have to try the eggs on the english muffin with the fat-free cheese

I'll sometimes make myself a 'mock' Egg McMuffin. I love the Thomas' Light Multigrain muffins. I scramle egg whites and put them on the muffin with a slice of canadian bacon and a slice of cheddar-flavored soy cheese.

Good for you! Sounds like wonderful food, and most important, you enjoyed eating it. I often do frozen berries until fresh are in season (I don't buy the imported ones because I'm concerned about pesticide residue). I use the frozen ones in oatmeal and muffins.

I love hummus. I get the organic spinach and parmesan cheese one.. good lord.. so tasty. I HAVE to portion it out or I can eat the whole thing. Of course I love anything with spinach and cheese.

Oh, I could eat the whole thing of hummous too!!! One serving of the kind that I have is 2 tablespoons. So, I measure out three and put it in a container before I go to work!! I love it so much though!!

Yay for you! I am soooooooooooooo proud of you!!!

That is exactly what I have learned. I can eat a LOT of food and never be hungry when I am eating natural stuff! And once you get the "junk food" out of your system the natural stuff TASTES so yummy!! And if you are really hungry you can always eat something... fresh fruits and veggies especially. I like the yogurt a lot too. I often take it to work and add a very small amount of granola which I get from the bulk bins at my market... and slice up a banana in it. Makes a wonderful breakfast!!!

Good for you for making such wise choices! You are doing GREAT!!!

Oh and Pinkroses.... to YOU too! Glad you are here!
