Yes, but even if you are drinking 8 cups a day, that is like 40 calories. Nothing big.

I liek my coffee various ways-I prefer gourmet coffee that I either get from local coffee houses, or buy gourmet and grind myself. I don't really care for flavored syrups or creamers and things added-if I want flavor I like the flavored BEANS themselves, so there isn't anything sweet/syrupy added. My favorite is Blueberry Cinnamon flavored beans...but I like about any flavored bean. If cash is tight and I have to get coffee from the grocery store, I prefer Folgers Gourmet Supreme, Breakfast Blend, or Special Roast.

I do like my coffee either black, or with a dash of Splenda or stevia only.

Occasionally I will have a latte (espresso and milk) or cafe ole (coffee and milk) but it HAS to be with skim milk only. No cream, no regular 2% or whole-it must be skim. I can't stand milk or yogurt with fat in them. I don't like the "creamy" aftertaste.

Good morning Aphil!

The black coffee really is not affecting my count each day. I think it was the creamer that was adding up and causing some issues. I noticed my coffee tastes fresher and not as sweet (maybe is how to explain it) without the creamer added to it. I never liked the powdered creamers... why I have been using it is beyond me. Well, I know why... I use to go to the dojo (karate place) and exercise with a friend (the owner) every day. But they closed down last year. That is when I got lazy and gained my weight back. She used the powdered creamer... so I just got used to it because I was there for several hours in the day because I cleaned the business in exchange for free exercise with the group she had. We live in a small town... and the only thing that seems to last out here (sad to say!!!) is the bars. A lot of people care more about alcohol then health and weight loss!! Go figure.

Anyway.... I got off topic there lol. Aphil.... that blueberry coffee... my hubby would love some of that!! Is that from the expensive coffee places or can that be bought in the stores?

I love Folgers columbian! But according to the news yesterday... Folgers might not be ont he shelves for awhile due to Katrina. I will have to find something else. I used to use Maxwell House... but ummm... I have not seen there columbian kind in a while now.
