i don't know if it makes a difference for everyone, but it does for me. i've been know to weigh myself more than once a day, and i typically weigh a couple pounds more in the evening than i did that morning. (but it's always back down the next morning.)

i try (usually unsuccessfully) not to put too much pressure on what the scale says, because weight can fluctuate quite a bit because of water imbalances etc. if i go off plan for a while, especially if i'm not drinking much water, my weight goes up 3-5lbs. a couple days of eating and drinking right, it falls right back off.

and to answer the original question, my official weigh in at home is always in the morning after using the bathroom. empty stomach, no clothes.

I weigh in on Wednesdays after work. That's the only meeting that's close to my house. Of course I do peek at the scale at home periodically just to see how I'm doing.

My weigh in day is Thursday.This is great for me because On Friday and Saturday I use some points on alcohol or "junk food"..I never go over my points but this schedule gives me plenty of days to "eat clean" and not have the sodium or bloating still there from the alcohol and/or junk.I weigh in at 7:30 at night and that bugs me because i'm afraid of drinking too much water the whole day.

I weigh in Mondays at noon right after a strength-training session. I have had breakfast and lots of water before WI. I've been surprised that I have lost every week.
