Sounds yummy!!

There was one I had pulled off the South Beach forum recipes before that I really liked. Had some cottage cheese, skim milk, sf hot cocoa mix, a touch of vanilla and a touch of splenda. It was called a "chocolate cheesecake smoothie" and it was soo good. Haven't made that one in a while.

My grandfather used to make these for me when I was sick (particularly with sore throats), and also when I had my wisdom teeth out. A little bit of nutmeg in there is really good too! He calls them "banana nog"

Wow! Those sound really good. We have one of those bullet blenders and those would work so well made in that! I too have frozen raspberries and some cocoa powder.. I also have bananas too. I wonder how honeydew melon would be in a smoothie?

[QUOTE=mandalinn82;2306168] A little bit of nutmeg in there is really good too! QUOTE]

Nutmeg in its grated form is actually a mild hallucenogenic and if a few teaspoons are added to a recipe it makes you feel relaxed and happy, and its alsos meant to be good for improving memory! and it tastes nice and makes me think of christmas, so go nutmeg!

the chocolate cheesecake one sounds gorgeous luvmyfam, ill have to check out the south beach forum to find it...

I just had a look at the full recipe for that smoothie from the south beach diet and i have no idea how to point it (its all in cups and we dont measure like that here!), would someone mind telling me what 1/4 cup of cottage cheese is in points? or do you think i could use tofu instead? im not mad on the cottage cheese, i did a cottage cheese diet once and it was not pleasant...

1/4 c of fat-free cottage cheese is 3/4 of a point (count that how you will...), 1/4 cup of 2% cottage cheese is 1 point. I would imagine substituting the cottage cheese for some nice silken tofu would be a great idea. I actually like tofu smoothies better than cottage cheese ones!

Thats great, thanks! I get so annoyed when i read all these great recipes but cant work out the measurements in metric, and all the cups i have are fairly big so when i do it that way the recipes end up huge! I think ill experiment with tofu smoothies, they'd probably make the end result more filling because of the protein...
