afternoon all! hope you all are having a good sunday afternoon! i went for a bike ride earlier and now I am just relaxing at home preparing myself for another work week!
|
Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying today.
I was fortunate enough to sneak out of work 4 hours early and get to the library before they closed, so I won't have to take time out of the rest of my week to do that. I also find that if I go on a weeknight, I'm more likely to want to eat something I should probably stay away from (like the Qdoba in the building next door!) I also rode my bike for 30 minutes while watching the Food Network. I feel that since I've started WW, I've replaced eating food with watching other people make food. Not a bad thing, I reckon, and it makes the 30 minutes on the bike fly by. WI is tomorrow, and I'm actually getting excited about it. |
Hi everyone. I just wanted to check in really quick. Alan and I and 3 pups finished our 5 k - 1 mile yesterday, 30 min on elliptical machine and 2 1/2 miles today. Yeah, we got it in. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I only had a second, but wanted to say hi!!!!
Dawn |
Hello all,
Back from the woods! Sat. was gorgeous, got in 5k over the weekned, but I don't know if I'll get a chance to post it in the 5k thread. Will have to make a point of it, that's the whole point, right :D (and when I say the cell works in the woods, I mean I can go into the woods to make a call, but I generally pretend that it doesn't and I leave it in the truck, my cell is a flip with one of those niftly little windows that's kind of like caller id, so I do a little screening even when I'm not in the woods, don't tell on me, please... :D ) I can't remember who posted what, since I had 4 pages to catch up on to get here... Patience, perserverance, it is key, everyone's progress is different, Suite, I know you post quite often about hiking, biking, etc. so you are putting on muscle as you are losing fat, so your progress on the scale might be slower but the NSVs are quicker, smaller pants, etc. Faerie, your new avatar is so cute, I always wondered if your old one was you, I liked her too. I think one of the tools for living is positive self-imaging or something, where they tell you to do exactly what you're doing (and the cutie with the shamrock on her cheek, I can't come up with her name just now..eep) seeing yourself at your goal makes it more real, someone else probably said that, but I'll say it again, well, I have already haven't I...okay on to something else :D tea, I like tea, but not all, lately I've been trying some chai teas, I like a vanilla chai latte, so I thought I would like a chai tea. I got one that turned out to be milder, good earth, vanilla chai tea, decaf, and one that's pretty spicy, I think it's celestial seasonings, I have bought some sampler packs, some of the fruit teas are good it all depends on what you like. One I love is a honey vanilla chamomile, I put one packet of splenda in it and that smooths it right out. The point is...I think there's a point here :) is to try some different ones, I get overwhelmed sometimes in the tea aisle, also maybe if they seem bitter, you might consider not leaving the bag in the water as long. I want to try the loose tea, sounds delish, one chinese restaurant near us makes a jasmine tea with loose tea, it's divine. I think I was going to say more, but I feel I've babbled on enough for now. Great reading all your posts. Welcome to the newbies, I knew there was something else, Butterflyy, I would say you're right about adjusting from low carb could be affecting your weight loss, you can incorporate some of your low carb stuff into flex, but have to be wary of the fats, and welcome! :sunny: |
oh yeah, :congrat: to all the 5Kers! Proud of you!!
|
Mondays... *zombie*
Blz - Thanks! I haven't gone bike riding in a loooong time. I should get myself a bike! :D Hope - I put like 2 splendas in my tea, because I find it bitter as well. ;) Yay for staying OP, and don't worry about the ticker, I don't change mine "up" at all. Only down! Lizzy - I'll definitely link the dress I decide on :) And down the road I'm positive there will be wedding pictures to share :D The pants news is AWESOME! I swear, people fitting into smaller pants on 3FC always makes me want to squeel like a little girl! (Okay so I actually do squeel...) I hope you're feeling better!!! Suite - Thank you! And I checked out that B&B. BEAUTIFUL views! So peaceful & open looking. I bet it was a wonderful ceremony! I'm so excited for you about the 15 lb mark! YAY for 5lb stars! :carrot: And your patience will pay off I PROMISE YOU! You're almost at your "Stay and Succeed" award for 16 weeks. It is tough to see those other people, but you're doing really well! The fact that you're going each week, that you've made huge changes, and that once you take this weight off you'll be sticking with it and won't ever need to take it off again! Gemini- I'm sorry to hear you were having such a rough day   I hope that things are looking up for you today. Butterflyy - :welcome: I hope your transition to WW goes smoothly and please keep joining us! Tendalaya - So good to see you  Don't worry about the pants too much yet! You've lost a great amount of weight, and you're healthier to boot! The smaller pants sizes will come!!!! And keep on stopping by when you can :) Staja - I noticed a lot of people like to treadmill or exercise while watching the Food Network at my office gym. That I just don't think I'll ever understand  But, if it gets you contentedly through your workout then all the more power to you! Dawn - WTG on the 5K!!!! Keli - No worries, we won't tell on you about the phone! ;) I know what you mean about the tea aisles being overwhelming! Oh boy! --- A big congrats to all who were able to participate in the 5K this week! What a HUGE 3FC success that was! The fiancé & I were able to get in a very long walk Sunday by the beach, and I made a hat & shirt. Here's the link to pics and whatnot: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...&postcount=176 I hope you all had wonderful weekends  I'm sure there will be more chatting and good times later today, but I'd best get to work! |
Hi everyone. Happy Monday.
I hope everyone has a good week. It is really cold here today. We are supposed to get a hard frost this evening, but by the weekend it is supposed to be in the 70's. Way to crazy....I was outside last night covering all of my flowers.....My kids were looking at me like I was crazy. I had all kinds of sheets and blankets all over the front yard. I guess it did look kind of funny. Faerie - I love the hat and shirt. I should have done something like that, maybe next time. I have a question about being in your forties or older.....I am losing weight, but it seems to all be coming off my rearend and legs, my belly and rib cage it isnt coming off - maybe a very small amount. My hubby thinks its because I had a hysterectomy and its the hormone thing. Do you think that is true? It used to be my rear was big and my belly was smaller. I'm not complaining...Its coming off, but its kind of weird. I know our bodies do strange things. I'll never fully understand. it. I need to get back to work. Have a great day. Dawn |
Dawn - My soon to be MIL would be covering her flowers & bringing in her plants, so it's not that crazy  About the weight loss, the last place I put on my weight was my stomach, but it also seems to be the last place that's coming off. My hips, thighs & butt are seeming to be the first to be going away. It could be that the majority of my exercise is walking, though. In the end, our bodies lose it where they want to ... silly bodies! :dizzy:
|
I am, again, way behind on posts! I wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone, and to wish Suite good luck this week because you are so close to Onederland! I'm sure you'll make it! You have done so well so far. I am immensely impressed by your dedication (mine has been wavering a bit since the cruise, gotta get back on it now that I'm back in the UK!).
Have a great week everybody! I'll try to stop in more often! |
Hey there Freedom  We miss you!
|
Aww, thanks Faerie :) I miss you guys too! Even if I wasn't replying to your messages, I was here most days reading the new posts.
I went back and read over a lot of the posts in this thread and have to say, I am a huge tea drinker. I love all sorts of tea. I would highly recommend to the people that want to be tea drinkers but are having trouble finding one that works for you, see if there is a little tea place somewhere near your house and go for a visit. Not only can you really see the wide variety available (more than just green, Early Grey, etc) but a lot have really soothing and tasty flavours. I had one the other day that was called Bourbon St. Vanilla and it was deeeelish with just a hint of vanilla flavouring. One of my favourites is called Rainbow, and it's a Rooiboos (not sure I spelled that right) tea, and the other two I really like are Ginger Peach and Cherry Almond. Tea doesn't have to be boring and it doesn't have to have milk/cream and sugar in it necessarily either (though I hear you about some tea needing the sugar because of the bitterness). So, my advice, if you can find somewhere where you can taste-test some different types of tea (black, green, infused tea, etc) give it a shot. I'm sure you'll find something you'll really like! At the little place near my house they have something like 50 different kinds of tea. The only real problem you'll have then is choosing which ones to buy and try! |

But, FWIW, it could be something to consider or read about. In any case, its great that the weight IS coming off! Hooray for that! |
Faerie: your hat and shirt are adorable!
Well, as for me, I am in my third week on the wendie plan and I still haven't lost any weight. It's thoroughly depressing me, so I have taken my scale out of the bathroom! I went and hid it under my desk so I will not be tempted to weight myself. I will weigh myself on Saturday morning at the earliest. Otherwise, I might even weight a couple weeks. So I have decided that I am only going to eat the extra wendie plan points if I work out that day. So for example, tomorrow I am suppossed to eat 2 points over my base target. But if I don't work out then I am only going to eat my base target. Does that make sense? and does it sound like it might work? |
Manick - Thanks for the info. I will definitely read up on it. I agree, I think I will wait awhile to see what does eventually happen.
Vday - Are you eating all of your fruits, veggies, milk, etc? I know looking back on the week I had a gain, I thought I had followed the plan exactly, but was short on veggies, by alot. Just something to look at. Hi Freedom, Suite, Faerie, Staja, Institches, Tenda, Kelijpa(hope I didnt miss anyone, if so, sorry) Does anyone watch biggest loser? I am a huge fan. I am hoping one of the two girls win. I really dont want Mark. Have a great Tuesday. Dawn |
Good Tuesday Mornin' Flexers!
Freedom - A tea shop sounds really awesome. Manick - Vday - Thanks! :) That sounds like a good plan you're going to try. Afterall, we all need to modify our plans so they work for us. Do check and see that you're getting in your 8 GHG as well! Dawn - I've never watched the show, though I've heard it can be very motivational! --- I felt very sick last night, so I decided to take some of my own advice and go home to sleep for a little while. I zonked out for quite a bit, and am feeling much better this morning. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't work out yesterday, but I feel it was much more important that I feel healthy enough to do so. So. Back into normal mode today, and going to treadmill this afternoon as usual. Feeling a little overwhelmed lately with having to move next month, having to get things ready for India in July, and the wedding in October. *sigh* That's life though, isn't it? Constantly stuff to do! I hope you all have really good Tuesdays :) :grouphug: |
Good morning
It feels really good that I finished that presentation, but you know, I have another one tonight. This semester has been surprisingly heavy! So only a quick check in this morning... I have had a head cold and haven't worked out between that and lack of time. Last time I was at the gym was Thursday. I really want to make the time for a jog today, but I'm still fighting a cold (it has moved to my chest now, and makes my voice sound oh-so-sexy until I start hacking). I guess I'll just give it a shot. It is gorgeous out. If I have the time, then I'll be jogging. AND, I stepped on the scale today (my WI was yesterday but I caved to the temptation of a WI today -- Faerie, don't tell on me at the NSV challenge!) and it says I'm down to 134.5! That's from 136.5 yesterday! Maybe I was holding on to water weight? Yesterday was a very average day, foodwise...I think i'll change my official weight to 135. I would really like to go in to Passover below my mini goal, it might be extra motivation to stay on plan. I'm not usually so obsessive about the numbers, but it feels different since it's the difference between "overweight" and "average," and it's the goal I set for myself... Thanks for listening to my rant of a confession! Good luck to all today. I'll be working on a paper, so I'm sure I'll be checking in plenty! S |
Hi All! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Work is kicking my butt right now (and unfortunately not in a healthy, good-for-my-body sort of way). I'm still holding at 200. I don't know what is going on. I have been stuck here for almost a month. argh.
I hope to be able to chat a bit more later. I apologize for the short non-update, but I just wanted to say hi! |
Lizzy - Best of luck with the presentation tonight! And I won't tell on you about the scale :sssh:  That's so awesome you being "not overweight" anymore! :cp: :cp: :cp: :yay:
Aero - Been missing you! Stop by whenever you can. Take care of yourself, and keep working at it, hun. You'll get to Onederland officially soon!!! |
My first weigh in today... :o
|
good morning everyone! hoe you all have a great day!
|
Good morning everyone,
I am typing during my break time at the office. I worked until 9:15pm at night and was here at 7am to meet a deadline. I want to thank you all for your warm welcomes and the like. This is such an inspiring group indeed. Question: What is the Wendie's plan? Question: Someone was kind enough to suggest incorporating low carb while doing WW and I heard this is being done by a couple of people I know..... Does anyone know specially HOW to do that please? Special hello's to Faerie, Institches, Tendalaya, Kelijpa and everyone... hopefully I didnt miss anyone. I didnt jog and walk yesterday... I was tired and I just didnt wanna :( Yes there are days I do REBEL about exercise LOL. Have a wonderful day everyone :) |
Astig - Best of luck! Let us know how it goes :)
Blz - Butterflyy - Here's the link to the Wendie Plan info that I used: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99187 I don't personally know of anyone doing lower carbs & WW, but I'm sure it's possible considering that you can eat pretty much anything as long as you're within your points. I'm sorry I don't have any specific information about that. Sounds like you've had some looooooong days at work! I hope you don't have to stay late or come in early often! |
A big rainy dayHello!to all you Flexers. Just dropping by again...2 days in a row...must be a record for me :D I am the random drop in girl...but I see you all on the boards. I'm still Flexing away.....
Dawn I am a BIG BL fan, this is the first season I've watched it but I really got hooked. I've never been a reality TV fan and DH will roll his eyes at me from time to time at me :dizzy: LOL, but I don't care! I've found it really inspirational even tho I know it is just TV and so much is done behind the scenes in the name of entertainment. It is just amazing to see those physical and mental transformations. I REALLY want one of the girls to win too, I think that would be terrific :flow1: Aero and Vday I am stuck with you girls...stuck. :?: Been holding at the same weight up and down, up and down but always stopping at 206 or 206.5...changing things up might bust us thru to lozin again :spin: That is my plan...good suggestions on the fruits and veggies! I have been trying to eat more fruit in the AM this week, grapefruit and strawberries and apples...I am not a big fruit eater, but I do like it. Veggies are easier and harder, easier in that I like them and think of eating them regularly, harder in that I like them with "stuff"...salad dressing and etc which I cannot eat very much of! I made fresh guacamole last night and carefully measured out 3 tablespoons...but I could have eaten ALL of it! :ink: But now I have more for today, so good for me. Faerie  Hang in there! I remember that pre-wedding stress exactly! Moving and organzing... It can feel very overwhelming. Just do the next thing...that's the advice I was given and it really worked. You don't have to do it all today, just the next thing on the list. Glad you are feeling better today. I LOVE hearing about wedding stuff (I was a 2006 bride)....sigh....I am still a newlywed at heart :D WOW Shrink! Good for you!!:encore: Maybe resting a little bit helped? Congrats on the no longer overweight! Wahoo! Freedom, good TEA tasting advice! We went to a little tea house on a mini-getaway trip to the beach last weekend I had some green tea that I actually liked...nice to try new, non-calorie stuff. :coffee: I'm swigging blueberry tea before bed. I have many teas in the cupboard, hip on red teas and rooibos too, but I'm currently on the blueberry at night. Astigma..good luck on the WI! :goodvibes Well...tonight is Thai take out and Biggest Loser night for me! Gonna get salad rolls and some sort of vegetable dish and soup with shrimp in it. I have treadmilled and lifted weights (arms) this morning so I can SIT and watch with zero guilt! Perhaps I will leap to my feet and do jumping jacks if something exciting happens! Have a great OP Tuesday everybody! |
Manick -- nice you dropped in! no shame on the BL love -- how can you avoid reality TV these days?? Sounds like you're working hard at the gym. And thanks for the cheers!
Butterflyy -- a belated :welcome2: As for the low carb thing, I definitely think it is easily done. I was doing SB (South Beach) before I started WW, found SB to be wrong for me because I like to count. In other words, I would just eat a lot of cheese, and not lose, but not really know how to best limit myself. If you were to combine WW with SB, I think you could have a really effective diet plan (that was my intention when I started WW, but have found it easy enough to just follow the WW plan). Anyway, I would start by reading up on SB and following that plan, but counting the points of the foods you eat. It really does match well, because both encourage lots of veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains. Both discourage processed foods. Let us know how it goes! Jaime -- I am guessing you're working hard on your orals. Good luck -- I'm thinking about you!! As for me, I postponed my presentation till next week, so now I'm finding plenty of other things to stress out about. On that note, I need to go work on my resume. Just wanted to announce that I finally got me a bikini wax, so now I can start swimming laps again! Very exciting -- I have been setting that as a goal/reward for myself for months now. Hopefully I'll find the time to get into the pool this week. S |
Butterflyy, if you look at the core foods list, you will notice that it is sort of a low carb plan, I liked it, but like Shrink says, I like to count. Whenever I have to deny myself something I want it more! So, anyway, what alot of people do, it seems, is to try and get away from processed foods and eat more "whole" foods, which is also a byproduct of a low carb diet, if you do it in a healthy way.
With core you have to eat fat free dairy or else count your dairy, so I find it easier to eat mostly core foods, like whole grain breads, brown rice, leaner meats and such, and just count the points. I also liked the idea of getting in touch with your body and trying to figure out how hungry you really are and not eating until the point you are stuffed, that they talk about in Core but certainly applies to Flex as well. Manick, thanks for saying most of what I was thinking, trying to keep up with these posts is too much for my brain sometimes, I have a good idea, then when I go to post I've forgotten half of the things I was going to say! :D Faerie, hope you're feeling better! :congrat: Shrink! WTG! Dawn/Faerie, I agree it seems my weight is staying in the belly area to the bitter end, but I'm wondering if it's because of walking and stuff, my legs and behind have toned up?? I'm mid forties, so it could be that, too, I guess. Anyway, have a great day/night everyone!! Suite, hope all is well, miss you! :sunny: |

Truth be told ... today I was feeling MORE than usually frustrated at my current maintenance. I went from very low carb to high carb and fiber plan of WW. Bright side: I was no longer constipated and no more hemorroids from the low carb plan. yeh! I am moving my bowels like twice a day now and its medium to slow and THAT is a blessing indeed! NOT so bright side: I truly believe that the ONLY reason why I didnt gain more than one pound and lose it the next week is because I have been walking and jogging and alternating. I began to feel frustrated because I was busting my bottom doing this two mile thing and STILL the scale would not move! I felt stuck and hopeless truth be told. I thought to myself, there HAS to be some kind of medium, some kind of plan that works for me and I was VERY tempted to go back to low carb knowing FULL WELL the side effects of constipation and hemmoroid flare up would occur again... but when the scale dosent move and you know FULL well you are doing what you are supposed to do.... one tends to possibly do things that are not good for their body... case in point = me. So I came online today and Faerie gave me HOPE with the Wendie plan... the fluxuating of points during the week. I read the detail post on the link she sent me and I was like.... WOW! Maybe THAT is the answer! :carrot:  Thank you Faerie, seriously THANK YOU for giving me hope when hope was fading, sincerely thank you and thank you to everyone for your kindness and support for one another. hugssssssssssss butterfly |
hi Lizzy, :)
I tried South Beach before and for some reason wasnt successful at it, but I may take another look at it if the Wendie plan dosent work. THank you for your encouragement. Processed foods... ummmm.... I do NOT like to cook, so thats what I eat is prepackaged WW frozen foods because there is no cooking involved.... that and Lean Cusine. Bikini wax?? WOW you are a brave woman.. wow! I dont even have my ears pierced because I do not like pain LOLLLLLLLLLLLL it is true. Congrats :) butterfly |
hi everyone,
I cannot believe a WOMAN won on the Biggest Loser! yehhhhh!! |
Thank you keliipa :)
I am unable to core or any plan that allows like unlimited or Eat UNTIL one is satisfied plan. Reason: I am a big eater, greedy, stuff like that. I know that about me LOL so like many of you, I need to count points to keep me focused and on track, smiles. :) I do not like ANY limitations for similar to you, when I have restrictions, then I want it and indulge in it even MORE so . I am looking forward to trying the wendie plan, very eager in fact because for me... it makes Sense :) have a lovely evening Everyone and again thank you for your help. I am more than grateful and there are no words really to express the New Hope I feel inside. thank you Butterfly |
butterfly...let us know how the wendie plan works for you!
I know it has given a lot of people who were on a plateau immediate weight loss once they started it... I have been doing it for 3 weeks and still no weight loss! I haven't really lost any weight since February:( So I would be really interested to hear your results with it... I wonder what I am doing wrong?:?: Well anyways, I have hidden my scale so I am not tempted to weigh myself, as it has just been depressing me lately.. |
Thank you ladies..I suppose I did alright with week 1...I lost 2.4... I was kinda hoping/thinking since it's the first week I would lose the most... I hope this doesn't mean I am setting up to lose like .2 pounds every week or something... :S I don't know..maybe I'm just being sensitive.

Hello all :D Thank you EVERYONE for you encouraging words. I've come to the conclusion that it is in fact my medication that's making me crazy. Ironic, considering that it's supposed to help. But I know that kind of medication either works for you or it makes it worse. Unfortunately for me, it made it worse. I'm not going to quit "cold turkey" because I've heard that effexor is some pretty bad stuff to just "stop". My mom was on it, and when she found that it wasn't working for her, she stopped taking it. She had this mental break down afterwards, left work crying, and had to take a week off. The sad thing about it all is that it makes me NOT care. I don't care what happens, I didn't care to work, I didn't care to go to class, I didn't care to watch what I was eating. I didn't care at all. So I took a step back and looked at things today. I'm going to go see my doctor on Thursday, and hopefully he can get me on something that won't make my anxiety eight times worse. I'm seriously contemplating dropping my remaining classes because I feel that I am unable to catch up, and right now I just need to get mentally healthy again. I don't know. I just know this. Today is the day that I start again. I am getting back on track before I get TOO far out of hand. I'm going to drink my water. I'm going to watch my points. And for the love of God, I'm going to sleep. In other news...I have a boyfriend type person now. He's actually helped out alot. We'll see how this pans out. Congradulations to any losses, and for any struggling, you can pull through. I'm replying too far late in the thread to address everybody, so sorry about the genericness of it all. I've missed you all. :D |
Wednesday ~
Happy Wednesday all! :halffull:
Manick - Always good to have you posting :D Thanks for that advice. "Just do the next thing on the list." That was exactly what I needed to hear. Lizzy - Bikini wax eh? You are braver than I, chicky. :faint: Keli - Thanks  I'm feeling better now. :) Butterfly - I'm glad you find the Wendie Plan interesting :D Give it a good two weeks to see how it works, but for me it's been nice. I've been able to use more FP without the guilt/fear attached. And the weight seems to still be coming off, so why not, ya know? Best of luck! Vday -   You'll get through this stall. Keep at it, hun! :cheer2: Astigma - 2.4 is a great loss! I know, our first week we usually like to see more, but 2.4 is 2.4 less that you have to lose now! :D The first week is rarely a sign of how we'll lose during the rest of the process. Sometimes it's a little less (.2) sometimes it's a little more (3.2 (woohoo ;)), sometimes it's up... but mostly... it's down. :smug: Those pounds will add up, and you will get there! Heather - I hope you can get everything worked out with your medication. Let us know how your "back on track" progress goes! And... when you get the chance... do tell about this "boyfriend type person" ;) We've missed you, too! Suite - Thinking about you! :goodvibes --- Just want to send some happy thoughts out to everyone! :sunny: Have great days! |
Kel -- Oh, I sit here posting in a Word doc with both windows open at once…no way I could remember everything! And thanks for the congrats!
Butterflyy – It can be very motivating to change up some things with your food plan. But yeah, just make sure you’re changing to things that are healthy for you! And it sounds like low carb caused you some big problems! Haha that’s funny about your ears – come on, girl, you are WOMAN! We are BUILT for pain!! Vday – good move hiding the scale. AND it sounds like you’re doing a great job not letting it get you down too much – I hear you saying it’s depressing you, but at the same time, you seem to be staying OP anyway, and not giving up. Which a lot of people would do! It seems that deep down, you know that the scale is a faulty tool, and you’re making the changes that will make you an all around healthy person. Keep it up! And keep on posting! Astig – 2.4 is GREAT!! :cheer2: HEATHER! You’re back! Don’t worry about the generic post. We just want to hear how you’re doing! Good luck at the doc tomorrow. And yeah, get that water and sleep in! Faerie – happy thoughts to you, too! Suite -- good luck today!! --------------------------------------- Gross, my kitten just farted and it stinks. Went off plan last night -- the ex-boyfriend/current roommate (yep, same guy) FINALLY got steady employment at a great job, so we celebrated with some wine and cheese. Still have FPs left for the week, though, thank goodness. I foresee a challenging weekend ahead, with seder and matza looming, not to mention 5 hour car ride to jersey...thinking I'll just have an all around "no matza" rule, which should cut down on points considerably. OK, I'm getting to the gym this morning, then to work, then to class...ugh. I should post in the planning thread, too. Here I go! |
Lizzy - :lol3: about your kitty! Grats to the roommate for finding employment! :hat: And all the best to you for this upcoming Passover!
|
Okay, PHEW, it's over!
Four days of eating everything in sight, panicking, being anxious, studying, pretty much being a nutcase in general, and now it's over. And, the best part is, I passed! So hurray! :D I still have a week and a half of class... a term paper to write.... and one small presentation to give... but this was like, the GIANT project for me to complete. This exam was the culmination of two years of graduate studies. And here I am on the other side of it, not sure what to do with myself now that I don't have to drive myself crazy with studying in the evenings. Eating, as I mentioned, has been WAY off track, mostly because I couldn't be bothered to cook or spend time preparing food so I'd eat cereal all day and then order in dinner and eat too much... Definitely using food in the wrong way. But it's in the past, and I can move on from this point, but I'm positive Onederland will just have to wait a little longer.... Thanks for all the positive vibes everyone, it was very sweet of you all to be thinking of me! I can't reply to people right now because two days off of work = needing to play a lot of catch-up, but I'll be back later and will give a proper check-in. Just wanted to let you know I'm alive and all is well :) |

Just out of curiosity, have you been drinking your minimum amount of water of 64 ounces per day of clear plain water? I ask that because sometimes I am guilty of forgetting to drink my water. I tend to drink more diet soda like Sprite zero. Are you moving your body like taking walks, etc? Last night I remembered to drink my water. I drank 68 ounces and this morning after I used the ladies room, I stepped on the scale naked and lost an ENTIRE POUND!! :carrot: Seeing that on the scale after what seems like sooooooooooooooo LONG was a blessing indeed. So this morning, before I put anything in my mouth, I am going to drink 33.8 ounces of cool plain water :) I know that water helps the body hydrate itself and helps things move along so to speak, etc. I know of a young lady who drinks an amazing 200 ounces per day of plain water and has great success. so let's you and I "together" get on the water wagon.... yes we will pee a lot LOL but it benefits the weight loss some how. I know when I remember to drink water , water stops me from grazing thru out the day... an old habit I had for years. The key is.... to drink water everyday and not forget.... I have to remember that LOL. have a wonderful day :) |
