  • Thanks for the words guys, but.. Well, never got to go to my weigh in today, the weather was wayy stormy and didn't venture out into it for my best interest. I want to be healthy, but alive as well. So judgement day is now tomorrow. And I'll try not to be down on myself if it's not a loss, I know there's the other factors because of my working out more this week, thanks judy.

I don't really understand if it was because I was nervous about my WI tomorrow, but I had like 12 points left this evenigg and wasn't hungry at all? I eventually ate them though, but I wasn't really hungry. Should I do this?
  • Tendalaya - It's good to get as close to your daily points as possible. You don't always have to force yourself. But if you aren't hungry you can use some healthy calorie dense foods to make sure you're getting enough energy (like nuts).
  • Faerie, hmm.. Would you believe I have no nuts? lol - I'll keep it clean, and pick up some almonds teehee.

Judy, I don't have to worry about any cats, because I'm allergic to cats. But I have a dog that goes crazy all the time. And she's sooo hard to figure out! She gets way too much attention, and she feels like she owns the place, if you don't pet her or, god forbid talk to her (it counts, really?) she throws a fit and does the big loud sigh at you. I've never seen a dog who can have so much personality, and a very cranky, spoiled, personality. All the same I do love the kitties, just can't touch!

Kelijpa, I know what you mean about the Easter goodies. Every time I have to pick up groceries or go to Walmart they surround me and it's nuts! Almost like I can hear them saying "come on, you know how sweet and chocolatey I am.." Well maybe it's just me...

    ....
  • Woo-hoo Wednesday ~

Tendalaya - I had to go buy my nuts, too! Hee hee ^.^ And those Easter sweets say the same thing to me!!!! That double-crossing Easter candy telling me that it's the only one for me. Lies!!!

    ---

Let's see... the Wendie Plan update is still good. Yesterday was Day 5, 34 points. I did well!

And a small, but wonderful thing happened. I was hanging out with my friend and her mother. Well, after dinner her mother offers me both ice cream cake, and chocolate layered cake with frosting. O_O I said, "Thank you, but I just really better not tonight." And so her mother says "Are you sure? Oh well I won't push, I know what that's like." I could've kissed this woman! I just said "Thank you! I appreciate that so much!" (More than the cake! )

    So then. Work to do

Hope you're all having fantastic days
  • Happy Wednesday to all!

I have had a busy week so far. I'm on Spring Break and I try to get lots of things done. My sister wants to take me out to lunch which I've been avoiding--don't do well at that.

I'm hoping ya'll can help me. I love dessert after supper but am not sure what has the best points at that time of night. Are the WW frozen desserts good?

Hope you all have a good WW week!!
  • Hey Tex - I Looooooove some of the smart ones desserts. There's a NY Style Cheesecake one that is 3 points, and (a personal fav) a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sundae. Also 3 points. Now to be sure, they're not big. BUT if you sit down and enjoy them bite by bite they are well worth it. I also enjoy Skinny Cow Ice Cream Cones (3 points).

If you aren't in the mood for cold/frozen, I suggest one or two of the WW Snack Cakes. They're only 1 point each, and quite tasty as a treat! I like eating them with a little skim milk. Yummy!

Don't forget that you can do well when you go out to eat. There are usually healthier options. Just go to the restaurant with a few options in mind to prepare yourself.
  • texastar- those things are pretty good...but if you are craving real ice cream, dreyer's has this new one called "loaded" and it's low fat, it's only 3 points per 1/2 cup serving (which is about the same about, maybe little bit more than the WW sundaes). They have a chocolate chip cookie dough one that is REALLY good, tastes just like regular but with TONS more cookie dough!
  • YAY! Finally got to go to my WI in today, 3 lbs gone! I can't believe it! I'm thinking it probably has something to do with the 0.4 gain I had from TOM last week, but it was my first TOM since starting the program and wasn't sure how it was going to affect me...

    YAY! Great Mood Today!
  • Excellent work, Tendalaya!
  • Hello, all
Tendalaya, congratulations on 3 pounds gone forever!

Desserts: skinny cow ice cream sandwiches are good for 2-3 points, someone once suggested graham crackers with ff whipped cream (put in freezer) for 2 points, fruit salad always good; you can mix a cake mix with a can of diet soda (imagine the possibilities)and bake per instructions and make cupcakes for 2 points each. Put a little powdered sugar on top if you need to.

As for the nuts: portion them out because it is REALLY easy to dig into a can and not be able to stop! Take my word for it...I LOVE almonds...

Had a good day today, stayed on point. Did not exercise, but everything else OK. Son returns to deployment tomorrow. Please pray for his safe journey, and the safety of all our troops. Thanks, Bethz
  • Congrats Tendalaya!!!that is fantastic !!!
  • WTG Tendalaya! DH and I walked yesterday and today (in the rain with our umbrellas) It's good to be back in my routine. I have to get my stuff together after travelling the last 2 weeks and Easter on the horizon ~yeeps~ I was hoping to get in the 150 (159.9) by the end of March, I guess it's still a possibility, but if not this month then next month I'll be there.

Faerie, you're an inspiration, I just wanted to say
  • Bethz - Good advice. Nuts are very easy to overeat! I'll be sending positive thoughts your son's way!

Kelijpa - It's really good to get back into routine, isn't it? I know that personally I feel "off" when I don't get to do certain things. And awww Everyone in the WW area inspires me. We all just keep on keepin' on, ya know? We're awesome!!!
  • Thanks for the words guys! You're my support system for real!

Well I never bought the nuts... I went grocery shopping and everything, and saw them on the shelf, but all the one's I could find were crazy expensive! So, maybe next week
  • Happy Thursday Morning Everyone

Well tonight is WI night. So, we'll see how the first week of the Wendie Plan went. I feel good though. Solid good. Like I said last week, I'll be give this a good 'nother week before really accessing. But, this WI will be good for feedback about what's going on, how my body is reacting, etc. Yesterday went OP so that's also good. Lots of good going on today

    Time for actual work stuff.

Hope you all have a wonderous day!
