Delicious turkey burger recipe!
I want to share my method for preparing turkey burgers. These are filling and satisfying, and loved by dieters and non-dieters alike!!
One pk lean ground turkey (about 0.5 kg) 100g=120cal, 6g fat
1/3 cup Bran Buds (adds 12g fibre!!)
spinach (to taste. I prefer to freeze it, then crumble it into the bowl)
Chopped/minced onion (about 1/2 small onion)
Mix the above ingredients in a bowl, and form into 4-5 patties
Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray, or add a small amount of olive oil
Place patties onto baking sheet and cook at 375 until fully cooked (sorry, I don't time it, I just watch - you will need to turn them)
Serve on whole wheat rolls
Calories will depend on how much meat you add to each patty. 100g is a nice size, but I often go a little plumper if I'm just making 4 burgers. Some people may prefer less bran buds, but it's really great to add the 1/3 cup for the extra fibre, especially if calculating for WW points!
I usually have just ketchup with mine, or low fat mayo and fresh spinach.
Even my husband loves these!!
