Default One Small Step...

Last night as I was going to bed, I justified to myself eating Pizza from my favorite pizza place for lunch. (They have a lunch special, 2 slices and 2 breadsticks for $6) I had even justified eating both slices and both breadsticks! (And planned a pretty enjoyable meal for dinner which stayed within my WW Points for the day!)

But the more I thought about it this morning, Pizza is not the best way to make a habbit of eating healthier! And all I would have been having for dinner is a salad and some soup... of which is very good, but I'd have no doubt still been hungry.

So I went grocery shopping today and picked up a WW "Smart Ones" Meal, and that is my lunch. No Pizza for me!

I know it's just a small step, but I am so proud of myself for passing on that greasy, not very good for me pizza!

that is awesome! and i don't think it is a small step- you are making a conscious decision to eat better, and you had the willpower to go buy the smart ones instead of getting the pizza. in my mind that is a big step
good job!

It feels so good doesn't it. The other day I threw out half an order of McDonalds fries.

A tip that is helping me:
Wear one of the long lasting lipsticks out there. Oil removes them so I now aviod greasy food during the day because it comes off really patchy. Sounds bad but where willpower fails me vanity works.

Latin, I suppose when you look at it that way it is a pretty big move

Lucky, that is a GREAT tip! I don't do makeup But my mom is trying to eat healthier, and I am going to suggest that to her...I think it would truly help her!

I never wore makeup either, but now I make sure to put on my lipstick first thing in the morning.

Good job on passing on the pizza, it's these small steps that really add up in the long run. Way to go.

Way to go! It's not a small step that's a big step! Passing up food is hard to do. But good for you. Have you tried those Lean Cusine Pizza's. They are very good. My favorite is the Spinich and Mushroom. YUMMY! It kinda feels like Im cheating when I eat them..but they are only like 7-8 weight watcher points. I dont eat them all the time..but once and awhile. Also Papa Murphys had a good Delight Pizza. We get those about 1 or 2 times a month.

Thanks everyone

I don't care for the Papa Murphey's DeLight pizza ... I love their regular But that doesn't really count, does it?

That's NOT a small step... that's a BIG step in the right direction... stopping to THINK and make a positive choice rather than just eat what you wanted. I am proud of you!
