I have this same kind of problem with being frustrated at the scale, but in a different way: I have discovered since starting working on weight loss that I retain a lot of water during my cycle. So, even though I'm doing everything I'm supposed to and I can see that my body is changing, the scale just stays the same for two weeks of the month. More often than not, it actually crawls up during that time. As far as I'm aware, that's totally normal and all part of the wonderful world of womanhood, but it's still frustrating.
So yes, I'm right there with you. And I would say that yeah, the scale TOTALLY lies. The problem with that scale is that it reads *everything* in your body, not just fat. It gets the bones, the organs, the water, the glycogen, eeeeverything. You do a lot of incredible exercise, and that's almost definitely going to give you a lot of muscle weight. I heard once that your eyes are the very best measuring tool you have, because you can look in the mirror and see the changes in your body. From what you said, you are definitely doing that. Those are some fantastic accomplishments you listed there! And really, those are the kinds of things you wanted when you started losing weight, right? The number on the scale is a method of measurement, not the goal itself. Nobody can see the number of how much you weigh; they just see your body.
I'm sure you already know all that, of course. But in case you needed a little extra "oomph" to convince that "illogical part of your brain" that yes, you are making progress no matter what the scale says, check out this picture!
