  • Ugh getting out of the 220's is driving me nuts. I am hoping if i set a goal weight date i can break the 220 rut and move onto the 210 rut
so my mini goal is 215 by independence day.
    plan: walk 40 minutes daily
Stay under 1710 calorie count daily.

    I can do this
  • Of course you can do this! You have tons of support!

It is always worth the effort, you will never regret hard work
  • Good luck, Carma!! Can't wait to read about your success!
  • Of course you can! I'm ready to break out of my own rut so hopefully you'll have company in the great breakout.
  • You go girl! You can do this!
  • Well the exercise area on track, wish the eating had been as good. Ah well atleast there are no parties next weekend I can plan to my hearts content.
  • Calories on target despite apple pie being brought in the house. I moved some planned foods around to allow myself a small piece. Walked while kids played at the playground and also walked in the evening. Plan on getting the exercise early on in the morning tomorrow. Might even have time for yoga on the wii.
  • My coworkers really helped me kick my strength training up a notch today. So thankful for the support I get both online here, at home and at work.

  • You got this!!!
  • Quote: You got this!!!
Thanks. I love the fact that you are rewarding your weight loss with a trip to Hawaii, very cool. I will have to come up with a big goal like that.
    Thank you for the encouragement.
  • Carma- when my husband an I got married two years ago, we wanted to do it in Hawaii all by ourselves. Just us, my kids (second marriage for me) and whoever else felt like paying their way for one day and evening with us. The idea was fly over, get married, pay for a luau dinner/reception, and then let everyone jut do whatever, as long as it did not involve us entertaining.

Well it didn't happen that way. We got married and had a fantastic bonfire reception on our local beach here at home (we live in Huntington Beach, CA), but when we saw the pictures I was MORtIFiED! A year and a half later, after hitting over 300 lbs, I was done! I signed us both up for weight watchers on January 27, an have not looked back since. When we were talking about things to do for motivation, when it gets hard, we decided that we would go to Hawaii for our anniversary and do everything we planned on doing, and stuff we wante to do but were too fat!

If we stay on the same path we are currently on, we can do it for our 3rd anniversary. And...our birthdays are at the same time. So it works!

    Sorry too much information?? Lol
  • No and I think it's fantastic that you and your husband are doing it together. Weight loss that is My husband has started but isn't fully committed. We have a lot of stress right now as my Mom is end stage pancreatic cancer and his Mom has a newly diagnosed cancer.
My mom was diagnosed back in November. I got through the holidays and started my new job in January. I had worked their before and work with an exercise physiologist who is a huge encouragement for me. I decided after my mom was diagnosed I could eat my way through it or I could embrace the stress and improve my life. 30 lbs later I am so happy I chose the later.

  • Wow! You have a lot going on!

I eat my feelings too! In fact I am often envious of people who stress and don't eat! Sick brain!!

You are totally doing awesome, even without all the added stuff! But add the other life crap and you are superwoman!
  • Thank you.
  • quick update, closing in on my goal 2+ weeks early. Woo Hoo. Thanks for all the support.
