Looks like I'm the odd duck out here. I don't do mine by weight goals per se. By that I mean, I don't set a goal of every XX number of pounds. I set mine by what I weighed during memorable times in my life since all of those weight points are in my rear view mirror.

So, while I wouldn't recommend it, my first mini-goal was to lose 52 pounds to get down to the weight I was when I moved here from NC. My next one is only 11 pounds lighter -- what I weighed when I quit smoking. Then a 20 pound one for what I weighed when my mom remarried after my dad died. So, mine seem to be tied to events in my life.

Don't ask me why that approach, but for some reason it's giving me the impetus I need to stick with it.

I am a mini goal setting fool! I join as many challenges as I can on here to keep me accountable and I always have "decade" goals of my own. Mini goals in small increments really help me stay motivated and focused, while long term goals give me a sense of future success.
