Since I've started making a conscious effort to watch my food, cut my alcohol and get more exercise I've kept track of measurements and weight on a weekly basis. I've only lost about 10 lbs. in eight weeks, which I find very frustrating ... but I've lost 3.25" off my waist and 2" off my hips.

I can officially say my waist is the smallest it's been in more than five years

I hate my scale but my tape measure is my friend

There's nothing "only" about 10 pounds in 8 weeks.

Good for you. And losing 10 pounds is great -- never an "only" when you lose weight!

10lbs is awesome in 8 weeks!! Congrats!!! The inches are awesome too, you must be really working out!!

Making the changes in your diet and exercise is the best thing you could have done, keep it up!!

There's an enormous frustration factor for me ... it just seems like it was sooooo much easier (and way more fun ) to put on. I have to keep reminding myself I didn't gain it in a month or two, it sure ain't coming off in the same amount of time but geez!!!

Yeah, nothing only about 10 lbs at all! It's so much easier to put it on than to take it off You are well on your way so keep it up. BTW I LOVE your avatar!!!

Congratulations! I'm going to join the chorus on here to say 10 pounds in 8 weeks is an achievement in itself, as is the small waist! (And, it might sometimes be fun while putting on the pounds, but carrying around those pounds is NEVER fun!)
