  • Thanks, Diet Dawn & JM14534!

I've been MIA for a few weeks, but am happy to post another weight loss! At first, I gained 2.5# between Christmas & New Years. I went off plan for a few days during the big holidays, but jumped back on the wagon starting on 1/1/12. I'm excited to report that I've lost the 2.5# I gained over the holidays. PLUS another 3.5#!, which brings me to a total of 17.5# lost! I'm hoping in the next week to finally reach a 20# weight loss! I still have a large amount to lose after that 2nd goal, but this will give me a jump-start to the finish line.

Just for the fun of it today, I went into my pantry and pulled out 17.5# of food and put it in a bag with handles. I then lifted this bag up and was amazed on how heavy that bag felt! I decided to carry the bag of food up and down the stairs and I couldn't believe how tiring it was! Each time I lose 5#, I'm going to add it to the bag. (The items I chose to remove from my pantry to put in the bag are 5# bags of flour/sugar & a 2# bag of brown sugar. The last pound that I needed to put in the bag was a 1# package of frozen meat. I did put that back in the freezer for safe keeping.) It's hard to believe that I'm still lugging around at least an extra 65# that doesn't belong on my 5 Ft. 5" frame! (Actually it's 100 extra pounds on my frame if I want to get to my lowest for the suggested weight!) I'm in a great mind-set, so I KNOW I will lose this weight once and for all!
  • Congratulations on the first 10 #'s
  • Congratulations!!! Keep it up!
