Talking 100 Hundred Pounds Gone

Fantastic.

I have reached a major milestone before the end of the year. I have lost 100 pounds since I started my journey toward health and wellness.

From January through June it was a major struggle to control cravings and binging. I would go out to buy a bag of gourmet cookies to console myself whenever the scale showed gain. Then in July I went on a hike up a mountain with a friend. That showed me that once I made it to to the top I had more to do. I swore that I would get a handle on my life. I started tweaking my woe using mainly Atkins '72 but also body builders tips.

So the second part of this year was the greatest. I feel strong healthy and happy moving toward maintenance. I wrote in my journal that I never wanted to celebrate my birthday (December 22) obese or overweight again. And I have done it.

Yep, its not just about weight. Why it happened is a long sad tale. I will convert the negativity to becoming a wellness educator. I am one course away from my instructor diploma.

Thanks extasee, Julie, and luvja.

That is actually super inspiring! That is what I am trying to do....100 in a year. It seems so out of reach but somehow hearing you celebrate reminds me that it can happen for me too! Thank you so much for sharing!

My signature shows that the loss is not in one year. I have lost almost 50 this year. I've heard of people who do it in one year but not me. Thanks.
