Default Starting small...

I'm just excited that I've managed to make several healthy choices in the last few days! The other night, rather that reaching for the potato chips, I opted to hit the produce department and bought a bunch of veggies. I made myself homemade salsa, with no artificial flavors or salts added! I even bought whole grain chips to go with it. I made a lot, so I brought it into the health food company where I work and everyone loved it. Instead of drinking the sugary stuff at my house, I just added a few squirts of lime juice to water and have been loving that! And for lunch today, I had fat free creamy chicken soup, to which I added broccoli and fat free cheese.

This doesn't sound like much, but for the binger/over-eater/snack food junkie in me, this is a big deal. I'm so proud of myself! I know it's a VERY mini-goal, but I'm still excited

I don't think making healthy choices is a mini-goal at all. I think it's a HUGE milestone.

Keep it up. These changes will add up to big results!

Kellyfoo!!
That is exactly the way I started on my journey. Small steps. Little changes and it worked super well. Still does. I just grabbed a bag of grapes one day instead of chips and that's how it all started. From that to other changes like actually adding vegetables to my meals, to joining a sport. I'm so so very happy for you!

Wait, I should also add that it's an ongoing journey and it's been well over three years but it's worth it. To get that feeling of being proud of yourself and to know that it is do-able.
