Default Almost to goal.

So my goal is to be 235 by the 27th of June that will be 1 month since I started my journey. I am so excited because when I first started (low carb) I was just doing Pilates and this week I joined the GYM!!! YAY. I work at Citi Bank and they we have gym at our work that is only $15 a month and that includes a free personal trainer if you would like which is freakin awesome. They are all certified trainers who have college degrees so they know what they are doing. Well monday was my assement where they just check you blood pressure and weight and talk to you about your goals which is for me to lose weight.

So yesterday was my first day actually going to the gym and my trainer put together a program for me, she did a spread sheet of everything I am to do each day I come in and I check them off as I do them. She kicked my butt yesterday I had to do 3 sets of 15 on the step ups, 2 different arm machines 3 sets of 15 on each, 2 leg machines 3 sets of 15 on each, we did a AB class which about killed me and 30 minutes of cardio which was 2 miles 15 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes on the treadmill. Even though I am kinda soar I am so happy that joined and I am working out it makes me feel ten times better.

YAY!! that's fantastic! and so convenient to have a gym at work. ive only been working with a trainer for a few weeks, and i (crazy maybe) think my thighs have slimmed down already!

its great that she has given you a program to do on your own too cause thats where we really master this whole "i love exercise cause it makes me feel goooood" thing! im definitely still working on that...

congrats and good luck!

Default GYm

I was going to join the Gym at Urban Active and when I talked to the trainer there he was like "Do you like going to the dentist" I said NO not really and he said well it's the same thing with the gym Most people don't want to go to the gym but you HAVE TO, he was a marine and I was like I don't think I need someone to push that hard. He was tough, I worked with a trainer before like him and he just made me feel more like crap because he was like a drill sargent he just kept yelling and telling me I was fat so it made me feel worse lol.

But the trainer I have now, she is awesome, she is a girl which I think makes me feel more comfortable and she gave me a hard workout but she kept asking me if I needed breaks which I didn't take but it was just like she wasn't trying to push me to hard, you gotta want to do it yourself to get it done, and she knew that I wanted to get a good workout.

I feel great today though alittle sore, my abs, my arms and my butt are killing me physically, but mentally I feel more in control now that I am working out too. This should make the weight come off so much easier.
