Default I'm so excited

Being able to post in this thread has been something I've looked forward to for a long time. My weekly weigh-in day is Friday, but I knew I was close, so I peaked at the scale this morning, and.... I've met my first short-term goal!!! I've lost 10% of my starting weight!

I'm going to be walking around looking like this guy all day.

Thumbs up Awesome!

Great Job!

I was just reading last night that when you start weight loss, you should try to set realistic goals, and they suggested a 10 percent loss to start. That way you have achievable goals and when you reach them you get that adrenaline pumping. I do want to lose a total of about 100lbs. but after reading that article, I decided to strive for the 10 percent goal first. I have lost 20 lbs. last time I weighed myself and now am still striving for 8 more lbs.

You are an inspiration and here's to hoping that SOON I will be able to say that I also have lost 10 percent of me.

Thanks for sharing!

Yay - congratulations!!

Mini-goals really are the way to go, whether it's percentage points, or increments of 10 lbs, or particular weights you want to be. e.g., my current goal is to get down to 144, which was my previous low before I got pg.

Easier to lose 10 lbs 10 times than to lose 100 lbs!
