Well, I like to weigh myself every Friday. Today is Friday and it's the 1st of the month. I have been trying to lose weight for about 3 weeks now and I am succeeding. It's not a lot, but it's enough to show that I can do it. Today is also my day for taking pictures so I can compare each month so I can see the difference. As of right now, I oblivious to how I look. I still feel fat and ugly, but others are seeing small differences in my appearance, so I guess that is good

I have lost 10 pounds this month!!

Hey, Congratulations! Keep going! Don't feel discouraged at any point because you don't think that you look as you should, i.e., the dimensions lost doesn't seem to be proportional to the weight lost. We barely notice differences in ourselves at first, so take others' word for it! And well, at least the scales and measuring tapes don't lie! So, don't ever fall off because the pay-offs don't seem as big as it should. Anyway, good work and keep it up!

And good idea about the taking pics each week. That should put things into perspective soon enough! Wish you all the best.

Wow, that's wonderful! Ten pounds is awesome in a month! (By the way, you don't look fat and ugly to me; that's a beautiful pic.)

Thank you for the compliment. That picture is one of the best of me. I have a double chin, so I have to be careful on how I pose for a pic....lol. I have a really big belly and I look like I am 8 months pregnant, so I try to suck it in during the day. I still have a long way to go, but I know that it is possible. Many women on here have shown me that I can do it, it just takes a lot of time. I keep telling myself, that if I lose 10 pounds a month every month, I will be at my goal weight next year. It just seemed so much easier to gain it than it is to take it all off again

You are doing great! If you ever get discouraged by a plateau always go back and remember what you did over this month so you can see what wonderful things you are capable of! I think taking pictures weekly is a great idea that I will do also!
