So my family came down to visit me for Thanksgiving. Every year we run in the Royal Victoria Marathon. In the past I've actually done the 1/2 marathon, but this year I did the 8k... since I don't have the stamina/time/mental tolerence to train for anything much longer.

Anyway after a year of being horribly out of shape (for me) I had a goal of around 45min this year. At the very least I wanted to beat my time last year of 47min.

Welll I definitely pulled off a 43:50 or so.

Yes. four minutes faster. And if I can shave off another 4mins next year I'll be at my personal best of roughly 39-40min. I can't wait. It's taking forever to get back into shape, but I can feel it happening. And that feels better than losing all the weight in the world.

Wow!!! That is awesome that you did an 8k. I don't know if you ran it all, jogged it all, walked it all, or a little of all....but dang....an 8k!!! That is fabulouse!!! Way to go. and what a wonderful thing to do as a family each year for a holiday. That is much better than stuffing your face and sitting around doing nothing all day while that food sits in your belly!!! (which by the way, is what my family and i do, so not insulting anyone here!! lol)

WAY TO GO!!!!!
