This is big for me. Saturday night I got a call from the RCMP that my son was in some fairly major trouble. That's not the NSV.

When I got of the phone the first thing I thought is I need to go for a run! Not, I want to stuff my face to deal with this news but I want to go and exercise.

The gym wasn't open as it was late Saturday but I still didn't go to food for comfort. I would have eaten all night a few months ago.

That's really great about you not resorting to comfort food, but a comfort run. Finding healthy ways to deal with stress will really help you make this a lifestyle change for good! Way to go!

Congratulations on your NSV. I know that is a great victory because I've eaten due to stress too. It's wonderful when you find the strength to deal with life's pressures in ways other than eating.
