An unexpected measure of my progress

  • I was visting a friend recently whose house I haven't been at since before I started losing weight. It was always a tight fit to sit in her kitchen chairs. They have arms and they pinched my butt and legs. Well, I saw her this last weekend and we were talking for about an hour when I realized I fit in the chair! It wasn't pinching.
  • That awesome! Today I slipped into a pair of jeans I accidentlly grabbed, and they fit too I love that Im seeing progress. Because sometimes I look in the mirror and get discouraged, but my hubby says he can tell. So Im just probably insecure. But keep going I'll stick by you! Bri
  • I think these kind of milestones are sometimes more important than the numbers. They make it real. They make you feel normal. I remember the day I could cross my legs again. I've also enjoyed watching the seatbelt in my car get tighter, and now sitting in my lawn chairs my butt doesn't stick out on the sides. It's awesome! It's the little things that mean the most, the things that people who have never had weight issues will never understand.

  • couldn't agree more SkiniJeni. Whats the point of numbers on a scale if it doesn't translate into real life.
    Congrats Melanie!
  • What a great NSV. Keep going. Your're headed in the right direction.
  • Awesome! I love those NSV's; they are by far my favorite. I felt the same way when I went to the movies and realized it's not nearly the squeeze it used to be.

    Yayayayay for you!
