I finally hit my 40 lbs lost mini-goal, for a few weeks it looked like the scale was never going to budge! But to celebrate, here's my first mini-goal post!
I'm super short, standing tall at 4 feet 10.5 inches, so every pound really shows - but it feels like every pound is harder to get off, so it all works out. I have been losing weight using the Medifast program since last December. I think it's the best thing I've done for myself in a really long time.
Losing 40 lbs has changed so much in my life. DH and I traded in sitting in front of our PC's playing WoW for getting out and doing a challenging hike every weekend. I picked out a new one for us to do yesterday that was almost 8 miles long with over 2000 feet of elevation gain. It took us nearly 5 hours from start to finish (with breaks for photos and rest) and I was just so happy to be able to conquer that mountain. My "current" picture below was taken about a mile into the hike.
I know the inspiring photos here really helped keep me on track and motivated when I thought I couldn't do it, when I thought it would never happen for me. So I hope this helps someone out there too. You can do it! I'm proof! I've carried those 40 lbs with me for all my adult life, and now they're gone - and I'm going to make sure they stay gone.
