Megwini, my friend is a shade over 5'10 and I am allllmost 5'8 if I stand up very, very tall. She has fairly thin arms and legs, no boobs to speak of, and carries most of her weight in her butt, thighs and tummy. Her goal weight is 125. Last time she weighed 130 she was still a bit flabby right around the middle and thinks 125 will be perfect. I think my bones and internal organs weigh more than 125. I'd die of starvation before I got to that weight. 150 for me will probably be way too thin in fact. I'd love to get out of the overweight category, which would be high 160s. I don't want to be "thin" just healthy and look good.
I, otoh, am large everywhere. I wear a size 12/13 shoe and men's XL gloves. I can palm a basketball. I can also pick up 77 lb dogfood bags from the vet's office, sling them on my shoulder in a fireman's carry, and walk them out to my suv no hands. I have never tested to see how much I can deadlift but I'm sure it would be over 100 lbs.
I have a relatively small waist but big everywhere else - My measurements as of this morning were 44.5-35.5-46.5. I'm just big all over, and that's why my friend and I are 60 lbs apart but wear the same size. Some things look better on her since the arms & legs are often tight on me--but fitted things look a lot better on me than on her since I have a huge rack.
She doesn't even wear a bra half the time, no one notices. If I tried to leave the house without a bra (not that I would!) I'd probably be arrested!
The human body is an amazingly diverse thing. All our friends think my friend and I weigh about the same, but we are nowhere near one another in weight, just in size. Pant size, she can't get 16s to zip yet but the 18s are floaty. For me, I have some old 16s I can only pull halfway up my butt but all my old 18s are roomy. In new stuff, I am a solid 16 though.
